Day 1 - Meeting the tourists at the airport and transfer by car to the Padis karstic plateau. Presentation of the area, its genesis and specificity. Checking in at the Cetatile Ponorului chalet, meeting the hosts. Dinner.

Day 2 - Breakfast. Accommodation trail: visiting the Focul Viu (Living Fire) glacier. Then we climb to Piatra Galbenei, impressive bellevue point. On the way back we can harvest mushrooms that our host can cook for dinner.

Day 3 - Breakfast. We will take the trail through the woods to the Cetatile Ponorului Cave with its impressive entrance with a vertical opening of 74 m. Then we will climb and take the balconies tour to admire the huge dolinas. If the level of the water allows it we can go inside the cave. Return to the chalet, dinner.

Day 4 - Breakfast. We go to the Caput Cave nearby. The cave engulfs a whole river and has an impressive waterfall at the entrance when the debit is high. After that we hike towards the Poiana Ponor meadows. It is unique in Romania because it has a stream that emerges from a cave, crosses the meadow and disappears again underground on the other side of the meadow. We can do some climbing on the cliffs in the clearing. Return to the chalet, dinner.

Day 5 - Breakfast. We take the road upstream on the Bear’s Valley and we will visit the Izbucul Mic peaty deposit. It has an interesting fauna and flora with carnivorous plants and a marvelous landscape. Then we follow the trail to Izbucul Mic spring and climb to the karstic plateau Calineasa-Batrana where there are numerous vertical caves, the most famous being the one on Batrana Mountain with a 120 m vertical. We can visit the shepherds’ settlements and enjoy the specific fresh food they will offer to us, then return to the chalet on a different trail. Dinner.

Day 6 - After breakfast we will leave by car to the village of Garda de Sus. We can visit the old watermill with a stone that is over 200 years old. Then we climb to the karstic plateau Ocoale where we visit the local museum of ancient traditions and the cave of the Scarisoara Glacier. We can spend the night in a guesthouse in Garda or we return to Cluj-Napoca.

Day 7 - Recovering day: visiting the city, the Botanical Garden, historical buildings and statues, museums. Transfer to the airport.
