We pass through Velichovky, a beautiful 19th century spa town specializing in the physiotherapy. We finish at Kuks, where we enjoy an “open air exhibition” of master Baroque sculptor Matyas Bernard Braun. He greatly influenced art in Bohemia and these are some of the best example of his work. Those with fanciful imaginations have named them accordingly and you will see stone “Lovers,” the “Mayor and Mayor's Wife,” “the Mountain Giant's Tooth,” and many more. This beautiful region northwest of Prague is very popular with local people as well as with tourists who like biking or hiking along romantic sandstone rock formations, old castles and the little villages of east Bohemia with typical folk architecture. We will do a full circle trip today hiking to Hruba Skala. Here we can sit on top of the sandstone rocks and enjoy incredible lookout points.
