Beginning in Antigua Valley we spend two days with vehicle support breaking you in to your Guatemalan mountain bike adventure with a loop around the ridge lines and volcanic slopes of Antigua Valley. Skip a couple towns over to Parramos and in two days of cross country riding you connect the Antigua Valley to the shores of Lake Atitlán.
The Lake and its surroundings are so beautiful and its trails so worthy that you spend two days with vehicle support exploring and getting to know its terrain. From there it is another cross country ride over high plateaus and down and up out of the deep mountain ravines that separate them from the Valley of Quetzaltenango.
On the last day of the traverse you drop right in the backdoor of the Fuentes Georgianas - hot springs - where you can give you tired body a long deserved soak before heading back to Antigua or continuing on to your next destination.
