Option 1, Rivers, Lakes and Mountains (April):
- 1 night in Lilongwe, the garden capital city of Malawi
- 4 nights at Mvuu Camp on the Shire River in the center of Liwonde National Park
- 3 nights on Zomba Mountain, staying in the forest lodge overlooking Mulanje and the Lower Shire River
- 2 nights at the Lujeri tea estate cottages in the tea fields near Mulanje mountain
- 1 night at Mua Mission, a center of Malawian heritage and traditional culture and an active mission
- 3 nights at Kayak Africa, Lake Malawi National Park, staying on a tropical island in clear blue waters
- Liwonde National Park, Lujeri Tea Estates under Mount Mulanje, Zomba Mountain and an idyllic tropical island on Lake Malawi form the backdrop for a focus on landscape painting.

After summer rains the views and countryside are incredible: dramatic mountains rise from lush green plains; sleek animals graze contentedly; the Lake is azure and breathtaking. This is a slow pace safari with minimal traveling, at a stunning time of year, cool by night and sunny altitudes by day and with views to die for. We stay in simple as well as ‘honey moon' destinations with all the romance, delicious food and sophistication of the African bush.

Option 2, Big Game in Wide Open Spaces (September):
- 1 night in Lilongwe, the garden capital city of Malawi
- 4 nights in Liwonde National Park, staying in the centre of the park, (park fees included)
- 2 nights at Lake Malawi, staying on the Lake shore at a tropical fish center
- 5 nights in South Luangwa Valley National Park, staying on the edge of the Luangwa River
- 2 nights in Dzalanyama Forest Reserve on the Mozambique border.

This is a tour for adventurous artists who want to see a great diversity of landscape, wildlife and local living. Be ready for wonder, peacefulness and charm. Liwonde National Park, Lake Malawi and South Luangwa National Park provide an outstanding wildlife experience.

It's the end of the dry season (winter), so early September is still cool, not hot. Dusty dry landscapes at dusk and dawn are luminous in the haze of trampling wildlife as the rivers become a magnet to animals needing water. The river meanders through the park creating great sand bars laced with crocodiles and pools filled with hippo, and we prepare wonderful spots to explore, paint and enjoy the settings. Be prepared for huge concentrations of elephant and buffalo in Zambia, as well as regular sightings of lion, leopard, giraffe, zebra and a multitude of other species. Activities include day and night game drives, visits to villages and local projects including paper-making and textiles and lots of fun and freedom.

Option 3, Large Grey and Unmistakable (Can be arranged nearly year round) A time to watch and paint Elephants and other Luangwa wildlife):
- 7 nights in the Luangwa National Park, Thornicroft Lodge
- Paint Paint Paint til your hearts content in the Luangwa Valley.

The days are yours to layout as your heart desires. Driver/Guide available at your disposal.
