Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Belgrade and drive along the Danube to Veliko Gradiste with stop-overs in Vinca Archaeological sight presenting 4000 years B.C Vinca Culture and remarkable Viminacium, the significant Roman Settlement and Military Camp of Upper Mesia from 2.century A.D. Family hotel accommodation in Veliko Gradiste. Dinner /exquisite fish specialties/ with music entertainment. Boat ride along the Silver Lake. Overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast drive to Golubac Fortress from 14th century. Tour of the fortification, photographing... Drive on to Lepenski Vir Archaeological sight and visit to one of the oldest human settlement comprising unique findings of monumental values. Climb-up to exciting viewing point Ploce within the protected zone of the National Park Djerdap rich in preserved eco-systems and age-old plant and animal life of remarkable beauty and rarity. Traditional unbeatable meal served in the heart of true nature eaten from the wooden dishes and by wooden cutlery.
Afternoon Serbian traditional tournament and time for relaxing walks, photo-safari and leisure. Visit to Diana in Karatas Fortress, the former Roman Fortification built by Emperor Traian after his invasion to Dakia in the 2nd century A.D. Accommodation in mountain chalet situated on the peak of stone cliff or rural household in Donji Milanovac/ or 3 stars hotels “Lepenski Vir” and “Golden Inn”. Dinner with music entertainment. Overnight.
Day 3: After breakfast drive to Majdanpek and exploration of astonishing Rajko's Cavern. Magnificent “gold mining” in Pek River and mysterious magical ritual followed by folklore performance. Traditional branch served near the Cave entrance. Transportation to Belgrade. Departure flight and end of program.
