Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Leave Johannesburg or Pretoria in an air-conditioned microbus with our experienced Kruger Park guide. Travel east across the Highveld towards the Drakensberg mountains before lunch. Visit Three Rondavels in the magnificent Blyde River Canyon, God's Window & other highlights of the Panorama Route and browse at informal markets for African curios en route. Proceed to the nearest entrance gate of Kruger Park & enjoy a short game drive to your Rest Camp. Book into an en suite chalet with air-conditioner & insect screens. Time to freshen up & relax with a " sundowner" drink followed by dinner in the privatized restaurant.
Day 2: Awaken at dawn and listen to the birds before leaving camp for an early morning game drive to look for lions & other Big Five species (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino & buffalo). Stop for a hearty breakfast then continue to a waterhole to see hippos, crocodiles & birds. Return to camp for an afternoon siesta or swim. After dinner, board the open safari vehicle with spotlights for a night drive ( duration 2 - 3 hours ) to search for predators & other nocturnal species. Overnight at your Rest Camp listening to the sounds of hyena & often lion.
Day 3: Depart from camp for another memorable early morning game drive to look for elusive animals such as leopard in the cool of the day. Breakfast & time for shopping or final photos, then drive towards the exit gate of Kruger Park & begin your homeward journey. Travel past the Lowveld citrus farms to Nelspruit, capital of Mpumalanga province then continue through the beautiful Schoeman's Kloof & up to the Highveld for lunch. Arrive back at Johannesburg airport before 16.00 for onward flights or proceed to your hotel or Waybury House.
