The tour crosses five regions, everyone very different to the other. The highest point, the Ripollés, 691 high, at the feet of the Pyrenees known as the heart of Catalonian countries; the Garrotxa, where Volcanoes and forests hide rich rural houses surrounded with small agriculture lands and grazes; La Selva region, reflected on the beautiful Ter river, with bank vegetations, hazelnuts trees, poplars, willow; The Gironès region, which leads the surrounding regions, it is the cultural and historic central point; and finally the Baix Empordà region which land goes smoothly down until it finds the Mediterranean Sea. Every route will be guided by one professional guide of the area.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Ripoll. Arrival and Check-in in a 3* hotel in Ripoll town. This day is free so if you arrive early enough we recommend to have a walk to visit the charming historic center of Ripoll and its cathedral. Dinner included.
Day 2: Ripoll to Olot “Ruta del Ferro”
After breakfast you will meet our cycling guide. He will welcome you and do a briefing about the cycling tours. We will give you information and a brief description from the routes of the following days. Your bicycles and helmets will be ready to start your first route. Today you will follow the interesting Ruta del Ferro i del Carbó (Iron and coal route) through the Coll of Santigosa, following the ancient railway path. This region was a very important industry of coal and iron mines in the early 1900. Arrival to Olot, accommodation and dinner in a rural house.
Day 3: Olot and its Volcanoes
After breakfast you will start a tour towards the Garrotxa’s Volcanic Zone. This is the best example of volcanic terrain on the Iberian Peninsula. It has 40 volcanic cones and more than 20 lava flows. All of them are dormant volcanoes, last flow was 11500 years ago. The mountain landscape, the sun and climate provide a variety of vegetation often exuberant, with holm oaks, and beech trees of exceptional value. The route starts in La Fageda d’en Jordà towards the Margarita and Croscat Volcanoes. Accommodation and dinner in Olot city.
Day 4: Olot to Girona City
This route crosses three regions, following the valleys of the Fluvià, Brugent and Ter rivers. The Route descends smoothly from Olot (440 m.) to Girona (70 m.) The trail has been fitted with new bridges, railings and signs. Accommodation in a charming hotel in the heart of Girona.
Day 5: Girona. Breakfast. You have a free day to visit Girona city: its Barri Vell (Old Town), Cathedral, Jewish town, old Wall. Accommodation in a charming hotel in the heart of Girona. Dinner not included.
Day 6: Flaca to Calella de Palafrugell
Breakfast. A guide will collect you in the hotel and go with you to the train station to go to Celrà village. You have to pay the train ticket in place (1.80€ per person). The bicycles will be waiting for you in Celrà, from where the route starts following different small secondary roads towards the sea side. You will enjoy fantastic views from the Baix Empordà region until you reach the beautiful village of Calella de Palafrugell. Accommodation and dinner in a excellent 3* hotel by the sea.
Day 7: Calella de Palafrugell
Breakfast. Round Tour visiting the coast, sheltered coves and small inland villages. You will cycle to the marine and fishing village of Palamós and then you will return through the La Fosca beach, Cala S’Alguer Cove and the natural spot of Del Castell Beach. Dinner in the restaurant of the hotel.
Day 8: Departure. After breakfast, check-out.
