A chance to explore a very special region of Turkey by sea kayak, at your own speed, without disturbing the environment - natural hot springs and fascinating islands on Lake Köycegiz; the impressive rock tombs cut into the sheer cliff face at Caunos; the maze of the Dalyan delta; the wildlife of the lake and delta, and the spectacular coastline of the Turquiose Coast.
3 days paddling and 2 nights camping. No previous kayaking experience is required.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Meet in the morning in Köycegiz town. Morning training session, then paddling on Lake Köycegiz, which is a protected nature reserve. In the afternoon we have a break on a small island with a ruined church, before finishing the day at a small bay where we can relax in natural hot sulphur springs and thermal baths. Includes: (L) (D)
Day 2: Paddling through Dalyan, past impressive Lycian rock tombs carved into a cliff and through the labyrinth of reeds in the delta, to Turtle Beach, a 6km long stretch of sand which is the nesting ground of endangered Caretta Caretta (Loggerhead) turtles. Includes:

Day 3: Paddling along the coastline, past impressive cliffs and caves to the sandy beach at Ekincik Bay. Opportunities for snorkelling and climbing on the way. Includes: (B) (L)

2010 dates: we run this tour on demand for a minimum of 4 people any time between April and October (subject to availability). A hotel-based option is also possible for those who prefer not to camp - please request price. No previous kayaking experience is required.
