Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Delhi. After meet & greet transfer to Peora. The journey that takes you on one of the world's more spectacular mountain roads as we climb up into the Kumaon Hills on our way to the delightful Himalayan hamlet. One can stop along the way to look for bird spotting which may include Pin-tailed Green Pigeon, Black-throated Jay, Long-tailed Broad bill, and Blue-headed Red-start. Includes: (L), (D);
Day 2 - Enjoy a Spectacular view of 350 km of snow peaks, Trishul & Nandadevi at the centre. This is a very good area for bird spotting. You enjoy the fluttering of birds at the adjacent oak tree to your personal porch. Very commonly you will spot the Red-headed and White-throated Laughing thrushes, Grey-winged Blackbirds and Red-flanked Blue-tails. We can also look for Hill Partridge, Golden Bush-Robin and Scaly-breasted Wren-Babbler. A short jungle trail to the nearby mountains could include Himalayan Griff-on Vulture, Lammergeier and Black Eagle, Hill Bar-bet, White-browed Shrike-Babbler and the Fire-capped Tit. Day 3 - Early start for a 2-hour (50 km) drive to Binsar Almora town enroute through the Himalayan roads. Rest of the day birding in the surroundings. A full day birding trek in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary. A 3 hour trek from Jhadidhar-Snow View point, we climb from 5600 feet to approximately 9000 feet. An ideal birding route where you ascend through the pine level forests to dense oak and rhododendron forests of the Binsar Sanctuary. You may be lucky to spot a leopard even enroute. Return by car. Day 4 - This day you will be hiking the jungle trail through the thickest possible sun rays no entry forests (12 km) to Mukteswar. The main habitats offers different species birds and wildlife. Commonly available wildlife are the spotted deers, Barking dears, Leopards, Himalayan Black Beer, Black faced Monkeys and various birds like White-crested and Rufous-chinned, Laughing-Thrushes, Red-billed Leothrix, White's Thrush, Himalayan Ruby-throat, Black- throated Accentor and White-capped Bunting. Day 5 - Full day trip to Kausani & Baijnath. Kausani is famous as an offbeat eco friendly Hill Stn. Baijnath is situated in a valley (927 mts) on the confluence of rivers pinderi and Sarayu. The place is famous for the ancient Baijnath temple 550 AD and is one of the oldest temple in India. Includes: (B), (L), (D);
Day 6 - After the breakfast transfer to Corbett NP via Nainital. The Corbett Tiger reserve has a spectacular avifauna diversity. About 580 species of resident and migratory birds have been recorded in and around the reserve and 49 species of diurnal raptors are found here forming a characteristic element of the avifauna. Great pied hornbill, pallas's fishing eagle, lesser grey headed fishing eagle, red-thighed falconet are some of the endangered birds found in Corbett. More birds include Brown Hawk-Owl, Great Hornbill, numerous woodpeckers, Slaty-headed Parakeet, White-rumped Spinetail, Himalayan Swiftlet, Lesser Fish-Eagle or even Great Thick-knee, Stork-billed Kingfisher and Himalayan Rubythroat. Resort Corbett Ramganga WCH is ideally located adjacent to the forest to offer an ideal sighting. Includes: (B), (L), (D);
Day 7 - Full day at Corbett with a morning or evening elephant / jeep ride into the park. You may search the boulder-strewn river for the rare and elusive Ibisbill as well as Wallcreeper. The best sighting areas are in the buffer zone along the Ramganga River. Includes: (B), (L), (D);
Day 8 - Take an early morning elephant safari. After breakfast proceed for Delhi. Includes: (B), (L).
