Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: We will depart very early from Quito, preferably on a Friday, so we can visit the Saturday Indian Market. We will be driving southbound. We will witness the breathtaking scenery from the town of Pujil to the highlands of Tigua, where the famous painters make this unique handicraft on sheeps skins with naif motifs. This is one of the few places where you can still see the use of llamas as beasts of burden which are tied up with very colorful ropes. The market itself is a contrast of sights and sounds. Then we get to the Quilotoa crater lake, where, according to the season and time of the year, the alkaline water color changes from green to a deep blue. We will have a picnic lunch, and then we will return to spend the night in one of the hacienda houses of the area.
Day 2: Next day, return to Quito.
