Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Chennai:
Upon arrival in Chennai our executive will meet you at the airport followed by an arrival transfer to the hotel, according to the flight arrival we go for sightseeing in Chennai visit to Parthasarathy Temple, Kapaleeshwara Temple, St George Fort & Museum and St. Thomas church. (Overnight at Chennai).
Day 2: Chennai - Mahabalipuram:
After breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram enroute visit Kanchipuram, It is the ancient capital of the Pallavas & on arrival at Kanchipuram visit to temples of Ekambaswara temple (One of the five elements temples – this temple represents the Earth), Kailashanatha and Varadaraja swamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks. Lunch at local restaurant and later drive to Mahabalipuram. (Overnight at Mahabalipuram).
Day 3: Mahabalipuram – Chennai:
Morning sightseeing of Mahabalipuram including visit to Sea shore temple, Arjuna’s penance and five Rathas at Mahabalipuram and later drive to Chennai, enroute visit to Dakshina Chitra It is a unique Heritage Centre which offers the visitor an unforgettable & authentic insight into the lifestyles of the diverse peoples of South India. Traditional craftspersons & folk artists work & perform in the reconstructed period settings of 19th century streets, homes & workshop-spaces in the Tamilnadu & Kerala sections. These are presently open to the public after visit we drive to Chennai. (Overnight at Chennai).
Day 4: Chennai - Mysore:
Morning you will be transferred to Chennai Railway station to connect train to Mysore, upon arrival check in to the hotel, Later half-day sight seeing tour of Mysore visiting the palace of the Maharaja built in 1911-12. The palace is a harmonious synthesis of the Hindu and saracenic styles of architecture with magnificent Archways, Domes, Turrets, Colonnades and Sculptures. Also visit the Art Gallery, drive up to Chamundi hill to see Chamundeshwari Temple & panoramic view of Mysore. On your way back see the Nandi Bull -a monolith structure. (Overnight at Mysore).
Day 5: Mysore:
After breakfast we head on to Somnathpur, This is a Historical temple built in 13th Century by Hoysala King in the Name of Keshava Temple. During his period this was a Living temple and now a days it is only a Monument, the architect of this Temple resembles in all the Temple of Karnataka – This Temple is the Master piece for all the Temple’s construction. Return back to Hotel and later evening visit Srirangapatanam. (Overnight at Mysore).
Day 6: Mysore - Mudumalai:
Morning drive to Mudumalai - The Duchy of Kalhatty is a large expance of land just about 13 kms from Ooty on the Ooty Masinagudi road with water falls, rivers, rivulets, private wild life sanctuary with Bisons, elephants, bears, antilopes, tiger, Malabar squirrel, 220 varieties of birds etc. We can arrange jeep safaris or Camp fire; elephant ride at Mudumalai with experienced guides to take them round to see Tea Factory or Tea Estate in the nearby vicinity. (Overnight at Mudumalai).
Day 7: Mudumalai - Ooty:
After breakfast drive to Ooty, the hill station famous for Tea estates. After arrival in Ooty, check in at your hotel, later visits Botanical Garden and in the evening go for Boat ride on the lake. (Overnight at Ooty).
Day 8: Ooty - Munnar:
After breakfast drive to Munnar, Enroute you can travel by mountain train (Toy train) from Ooty to Coonoor and it will be a wonderful trip traveling through the Nilgiri hills, then continue your drive to Munnar, upon arrival check in the hotel. (Overnight at Munnar).
Day 9: Munnar - Kumarakom:
After breakfast we head sight seeing tour in Munnar, visiting Eravikulam National Park, Mattupatty, Kundala Dam, Eco point, tea Museum. And later drive to Kumarakom, Kumarakom is famous for Backwater and Bird sanctuary situated at the Vembanad Lake. Upon arrival check in at your hotel, Rest the day for your personal actitives. (Overnight at Kumarakom).
Day 10: Kumarakom - Alleppey:
After breakfast transfer to houseboat, embark the houseboat by 12noon. Cruise through the back water of Kerala, on the way you can see traditional Kerala village life remind unchanged for many years you also witness the merchants selling vegetables in a boat while the village people await at the bank of Vembanad lake. Here your crew will prepare delicious Keralian meals from freshly brought vegetables from the market. (Overnight at Houseboat).
Day 11: Alleppey - Cochin:
After breakfast you will be disembark the hotel at Alleppey and drive to Cochin, upon arrival check in to the hotel, later witness the famous Kathakali dance performance performed by the professional artist at an AC Auditorium, (Overnight at Cochin).
Day 12: Cochin:
Morning sightseeing at Fort Cochin, St Francis Church, Chinese Fishing Nets, Mattancherry Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Spice market and Antique markets. Evening sunset cruise on Cochin Harbour. (Overnight at Cochin).
Day 13: Cochin – Kovalam:
After breakfast drive to Kovalam, upon arrival check in to the hotel, evening relax. (Overnight at Kovalam).
Day 14: Kovalam – Kanyakumari – Kovalam:
Breakfast follows day excursion to Kanyakumari visit Kumari Amman temple; Vivekananda Rock and Tiruvalluvar statue and later witness the sunset and back to Kovalam. (Overnight at Kovalam).
Day 15: Kovalam:
Day free for leisure activities. (Overnight at Kovalam).
Day 16: Kovalam – Trivandrum:
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Trivandrum airport to board flight back to home.
