We drive 100 kms North of the capital to Debre Libanos to see the 13th century monastery, Ethiopia's most revered saint Teclehaimanot founded this 13th century monastery, which is very significant to the Ethiopians, the Portuguese Bridge and the dramatic Streches of road of the Blue Nile gorge. The endemic Gelada Baboons and the bone-breaker birds lammergeyer can be spotted.
