The region of Pantanal Sur is situated 236 km away from the city of Campo Grande , State of Mato Grosso do Sul, where the flood zones that dominate the landscape, and the large volumes of water make it a constantly changing landscape. Meet alligators, deers, and a great number of multicoloured birds "face to face". These species of strange beauty have chosen the Pantanal as one of the three most important ecosystems in the world for their migrant routes.
The Ecological Refuge Caiman is situated in this natural paradise, it consists of a former ranch of an area of 53.000 ha, that connects with an information post and an private ecological reserve of 7.000 ha. It coexists in total harmony with an animal farm, making it possible to keep nature untouched and at the same time provide some sustenance to the local communities. The Refuge is formed by the Main lodge and 3 additional lodges, strategically located.
