We're very enthusiastic about our idyllic corner of France and we'd love to share it with you. Our small personalized tours take you off the beaten path to unspoiled villages, sylvan manors and gardens, exceptional restaurants and boutiques, as well as to the ateliers and farms of some local artisans.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive at la Ferté-Bernard train station, afternoon. Check-in at Maison Conti and take a walking tour of the village and the historic Montmirail castle. Drinks on the terrace, weather permitting, and dinner in the dining room.

Day 2: Breakfast at Maison Conti. Visit the Manoir de la Fresnaye, dating from the twelfth century. Stop in Bellême for an extravagant buffet lunch. Visit an antique shop and boutique of hand-crafted items, tour the gardens of Pontgirard. Afternoon tea in la Perrière, one of the loveliest hilltop villages in the Perche. Gourmet dinner at Maison Conti.

Day 3: Breakfast at Maison Conti. Visit a local farm or bakery, observing traditional methods and tasting. Lunch in the charming village of Moutiers-au-Perche. Visit the delightful and widely acclaimed escargot producer, Philippe Couvreur (featured in the New York Times, Gourmet Magazine and Food Art), undoubtedly the most enthusiastic snail expert you will ever meet. Gourmet dinner at Maison Conti.

Day 4: Breakfast at Maison Conti. Visit the fascinating troglodyte village of Troo. Lunch in Lavardin at le Relais d’Antan, by the Michelin-starred chef, Paul Van Gessel. Tour the chateau of Cheverny, known for its hunting dogs and exquisite interior decoration. Wine tasting in the region. Gourmet dinner at Maison Conti.

Day 5: Breakfast at Maison Conti. Transportation to the train station in la Ferté-Bernard.

- Your tour guide, Richard Harrison, is a native of New York and long time resident of the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to France in 2004. He is an entertaining, knowledgable host and speaks both English and French.
- Tour dates throughout the spring, summer and fall at your convenience.
