Tour Itinerary:

Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai. Pick up at hotel and transfer to Hanoi train station in the evening. Overnight trip to Lao Cai in sharing comfortable 4 berths compartments (2 uppers and 2 lowers).

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa

You will arrive Lao Cai very early in the morning, picked up from Laocai Train Station to Sapa, check Lao-cai-tourin hotel. Morning at leisure you are free to visit Sapa Culture Market. Afternoon is your light exercise, preparation for climbing tomorrow. Your guide take you to Ham Rong Mount to see the whole fantastic view of the town, the paddy rice fields … You also see beautiful orchard, orchid, flower gardens, cultural village with the traditional stilt houses of the Tay people, collection of Sapa pictures (past and present), music and dance performances of the ethnic minorities in Sapa. It is special when walking a little up to touch the cloud and see nice rocks with strange shapes like dragon raw. Overnight in Sapa. Includes: (B).

Day 2: Sapa – Tram Ton – 2900m of Fansipan

You are having a couple of interesting days waiting ahead. You travel by car toward the Silver Waterfall where you will be able to take a short walk to the waterfall. You will then drive further to Heaven Gate, the highest peak of roads in Vietnam. Hey, before lunchtime everything seems easy. Don’t forget your camera today at wonderful views of the primitive forests: slippery moss carpet, “thao qua” forest (a kind of wild nuts trees for medicine) planted by the H’Mong people, century-old oaks, chestnut trees and rhododendron. The forests are best to see in October, November and May. Lunch at elevation 2,600m before taking a harder trek. Pass the bamboo forest, then stop and camp at elevation 2,900m. Overnight in the tents. Includes: (L, D).

Day 3: 2900m – the top of Fansipan – 2700m

After breakfast, go on for 2-3 hours passing a muddy road encompassed by high grass fields on elevation 2,900 – 3,100m. The road is tough but offers breathtaking view all the way. Soon we will see the pyramid symbol on the top of Fansipan peak, the Peak of Hoang Lien Son Mt. Range, the Peak of Indochina Peninsula. In sunshine days, from this Point you can have stunning views over China to the North and Laos to the West. Have a rest and light lunch before descending back down to the camp at Elevation 2,600. Dinner and overnight in the tents at the Camp. Includes: (B, L, D).

Day 4: 2700m – Sin Chai – Sapa

You wake up in the fresh and pure morning in wild nature, enjoy a morning coffee and the sounds of nature as your porters break down the camp and back to Sapa. Trek downhill will be more quickly, but you should take another road today if you prefer to pass by two marvelous villages of the H’Mong people: San Sa Ho village and Sin Chai village. This road will be 3 hours longer then the climbing-up road but very sight worthy with pinewood-roofed houses, dozens of terraced fields, excited children and mountain landscape. Have lunch en route. Back to Sapa on foot and arrive your hotel around 16.00. A delicious dinner is waiting for you at the hotel or the restaurant. Overnight in hotel in Sapa. Includes: (B, L, D).

Day 5: Sapa – Night train to Hanoi

Today is your free time to get over from the last trek and discover the town. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Lao Cai train station and take a night train to Hanoi. Overnight on train. Optional trip to Bac Ha market. After 3-hour driving from Sapa, you will arrive Bac Ha Market on Sunday. Or you can visit Can Cau on Saturday and Coc Ly on Tuesday. You will have a chance to intermingle with hill tribes living surrounding Bac Ha, inclusive of Flower H’Mong, Tay, Dzay, Dzao, San Diu, Kinh gathering for meeting, dating, hanging around, shopping and exchanging goods, especially fabrics and handicrafts. After enjoying the market for 2-3 hours, we can visit a village nearby the marketplace, or take a boat on Chay River (only for Coc Ly market) or leave for Lao Cai and have a look at the Chinese border in Lao Cai. Take the night Train to Hanoi at 19.00 or 21.00 and overnight on the Train. Includes: (B).

Notes:
- On the 3rd day if you are very healthy, you can take a shortcut with lovely landscape but dangerous cliffs stretching for 4 hours down to the night camp. Overnight at elevation 2,700m.
