* About the location: Paris is what dreams are made of — the birthplace of romance and the center of culinary delights. Not only is Paris the home to some of the most breathtaking architecture, monuments and art the world has ever seen, but this ‘city of light’ (la ville-lumière), will instantly immerse visitors in its unique and vibrant culture. Accommodations will be at a lovely three-star boutique hotel property in central Paris (hotel will be determined upon booking).
* About the cooking lessons: A cooking experience in Paris with Chef Myriam will be an unforgettable addition to your vacation in France. The class is taught in Myriam's home located a few minutes walk from l'Opera in the heart of the 9th arrondissement. She will welcome you into her beautiful apartment on the first floor of a historic Haussmannian building where you can relax on her patio garden or sit by the fire. Please note that Myriam has a cat.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1, Sunday:
* Arrival on your own and check in to the your lovely room.
* Time at leisure to explore the city.
* Tonight's dinner on your own, with recommendations from the hotel.
* Overnight.
Day 2, Monday:
* Breakfast on your own followed by day at leisure with lunch on your own.
* In the late afternoon (approximately 3:00 PM) meet with the chef for your dessert class. The three-hour class includes two or three specialties cooked and tasted with coffee and tea.
* Dinner tonight will be on your own.
* Overnight.
Day 3, Tuesday:
* After breakfast on your own, you have the option of our Foodie's Walking tour in the morning or our Chocolaterie, Patisserie and Boulangerie tour in the afternoon.
* Option 1: At 9:00 a.m., meet for your three-hour walking "Foodie's Walking Tour." On this tour you will visit distinctive Parisian gourmet shops — a legendary pastry shop, one of the most esteemed chocolateries, a famous caterer, and an excellent regional food purveyor. Your tour will end at Ali Baba Cavern of Wine where you will enjoy a tasting of incredible French wines.
* Dinner on your own and overnight.
* Option 2: At 2:00 p.m., meet for your guided three-hour tour of chocolate and bread! On this tour in St. Germain des Prés, you will sample some of the finest chocolates, macaroons, pastries and breads from top suppliers of Paris. Your knowledgeable guide will take you to the famed shops of Pierre Hermé, Poilâne, Gérard Mulot and more where you will discuss the creation and significance of these celebrated treats. You may also have the opportunity to go behind the scenes and see the masters at work.
* Dinner on your own and overnight.
Day 4, Wednesday:
* Breakfast followed your second cooking class.
* Your day will begin around 9:15 a.m. when you join Myriam for a shopping excursion at an outdoor market. Return to Myriam's home for a hands-on cooking class of a three-course traditional French meal.
* After the class enjoy lunch based on your efforts accompanied by wine. Myriam will provide all guests with the recipes in English.
Day 5, Thursday:
* Breakfast followed by check out.
