Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Bamako

Arrival by scheduled flight in Bamako- Welcoming at the airport - Transfer to "Grand Hotel" or similar hotel - Dinner and overnight in Bamako.

Day 2: Bamako - Segou

Breakfast and departure for Segou- Settling at the "Auberge Hotel"- Visit of Segoutown and common quarters, tapestries, local breweries, the market, fishing smack tour to discover impressive African sunsets - Dinner and overnight in Segou.

Day 3: Segou - Mopti

Breakfast and departure for Mopti the "Malian Venice"- on our way to visiting the town, you will see: the market, the mosque built in 1806 - at the end of the visit; settling at the Kanaga Hotel.

Day 4: Mopti

Breakfast and Mopti town visit . You will see the common quarters, the craftmen's market, the fishing port, the BOZO encampments - Lunch at the Bozo bar-restaurant - Free afternoon.- Dinner and overnight at the Kanaga Hotel.

Day 5: Mopti - Sangha

Breakfast and departure for Sangha in the Dogonland - Settling at the Sangha encampment - Visit of Sangha village and some other villages in the Cliffs - Dinner and overnight at the encampment.

Day 6: Dogonland

Breakfast and trekking day in the Bandiagara cliffs - Visits and Dogon masks' danse - Picnic lunch - Dinner and overnight at the encampment.

Day 7: Dogonland

Breakfast and tour in the cliffs to visit Dogon villages. The Dogons settled in this place in the 15th century in order to flee the razzia and different tribal wars of their neighbours. Nowadays they have remained reserved -It was, for them, a way to avoid new invasions which might disturb their culture and way of life. Return to Sangha in the afternoon - Dinner and overnight in Sangha.

Day 8: Dogonland - Djenne

Breakfast and departure for Djenne - Settling at the town encampment. Visit of the town, the market, the common quarters, the "Young Girl's Grave" and particularly the mosque which is the biggest one built with mud in the world - Dinner and overnight in Djenne.

Day 9: Djenne - Mopti

Breakfast - town visit, archaeological sites and departure for Mopti. Settling at the Kanaga Hotel - Dinner and overnight in Mopti.

Day 10: Mopti -Timbuktu by fishing smack

Departure for Timbuktu early in the morning by fishing smack, shipping along the river - Visit of the neighborhoods of the DEBO Lake where you will see reserves of migrating birds, riverside villages with different atmospheres - Dinner and overnight under tents near the river.

Day 11: On the River

Breakfast in the fishing - smack - Visit of Diré village where you will admire the mosque, the market, the" Bella" people and villages and their craft industry - Dinner and overnight under the tents near the river.

Day 12: Timbuktu

Breakfast in the fishing smack - Visit of some sonrhaï villages - Lunch - Arrival in Timbuktu - Settling at the Azalai or Bouctou Hotel.

Day 13: Timbuktu

Visits of the town of Timbuktu - the Public Square - The Djenguereber and Sankore mosques - the Touareg encampments, The Ahmed Baba Center - sightseeing on camel back in the afternoon - Dinner and overnight in Timbuktu.

Day 14: Timbuktu - Mopti

Breakfast and departure for Mopti. You will cross the Gourma desert. Arrival in Mopti and settling at the Kanaga Hotel - Free day.

Day 15: Mopti - Bamako - Leaving

Breakfast and departure for Bamako - Transfer to the airport and flight.
