Day 1: Airport – Byurakan.
- Arrival in Zvartnots Airport. Pick up and transfer to Marz of Aragatsotn - Byurakan. Marz is in the western part of Armenia and surrounded there sides of Mount Aragats. Aragats is the highest mountain of Armenia. It has four picks. The northern pick is the highest one and it is 4091 m above the sea level. The capital Ashtarak is built on ancient settlement and has many historical sites).
- Accommodation in Guesthouse. After lunch you will visit Astrophysical Observatory of Armenia, which was established in 1946 and has one of the most powerful telescopes in the World.
- Overnight in Guesthouse. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 2: Byurakan – Amberd Fortress– Qarilich Lake
- Trekking from Byurakan to Amberd Fortress (7th Century). After lunch, bus excursion to Lake of Qarilich (3200 m above the sea level).
- Camping near Qarilich. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 3: Qarilich Lake – Monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin – Monastery of Kobayr - Dilijan Town ( 1,5 km)
- Your hiking trip to the northern part of Armenia Lori Marz. (Lori Marz is the largest Marz in Armenia. Its capital is Vanadzor city. Surrounded by mountains Lori has a striking beauty, with contrasts of dramatic gorges and forests hills).
- You will visit Monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin (10 -13th cc)(UNESCO sites).
- After lunch, trekking from Sanahin to Kobayr abandoned monastery (12-13th cc.).
- Then, driving to Dilijan town, which is located in Tavush Marz (It is teeming with rivers, lakes, and natural mineral springs).
- Overnight in guesthouse in Dilijan. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 4: Dilijan Town – Monastery of Sevan – Noradouz – Monastery of Ayrivank – Village of Tsaghkashen – Lake of Akna – The mount of Ajdahak (12 km. 4,5 hours)
- Transportation to Sevan lake.
- You will visit Monastery of Sevan (874).
- Noradouz medieval Khachkars field (9-17th cc.).
- The Monastery of Ayrivank (9-12th cc.).
- Lunch in the local Restaurant of “Ashot Erkat” (you can taste the most delicious trout).
- Bus excursion to the village of Tsaghkashen and ascending to Lake of Akna on the plateau of the mount Ajdahak.
- Overnight in the camping. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 5: Ajdahak Mount – The pagan Temple of Garni – Monastery of Geghard – Yerevan (18km)
- After breakfast trekking towards Garni village along the River Azat.
- You will visit the Pagan Temple of Garni (1 AD).
- Lunch in the local Restaurant.
- After lunch, driving to monastery of Geghard (12-13th cc.).
- Transportation to Yerevan. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 6: Yerevan – Monastery of Khor Virap – “Areni” Factory – Monastery of Noravank – Kapan Town
- No trekking, but travel to southern Armenia.
- First of all, you will visit monastery of Khor Virap (4-17th cc.) (Khor Virap is the legendary site, where king Trdat 3 imprisoned Saint Gregory the Illuminator in an underground cell for 13 years for preaching Christianity).
- Your trip will continue to wine factory of “Areni”, with testing. - Then, you will visit Monastery of Noravank ( 12-13th cc.)
- After lunch, your tour will continue to Kapan town.
- Accommodation in a local guest house. Overnight. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: Kapat Town – Mountain of Khusup – Kapan Town
- After breakfast, trekking to a mountain of Khustup (3201m above the sea level).
- After lunch you will return to guest house.
Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: Kapan Town – Monastery and University of Tatev Complex – Yerevan
- After breakfast, transfer to Yerevan
- On the way back you will visit unique Monastery and University of Tatev Complex (9-13th cc.).
- Return to Yerevan. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
Day 9: Sightseeing of Yerevan – Monastery of Echmiadzin – Churches of Gayane and Hripsime – Yerevan
- After breakfast, sightseeing of Yerevan.
- First of all, you will visit Erebuny - fortress and museum (782 BC).
- Then, you will visit great Armenian movies producer House - museum of Sergey Paradjanov.
- Lunch in the “Our Village” Restaurant.
- After lunch, trip will continue to Echmiadzin Monastery
- Visit the Echmiadzin Cathedral, the most ancient Christian temple in Armenia and the Holy See of the Armenian Apostolic Church. You will visit the underground site of the pagan temple upon which the present cathedral stands. You will also visit the Museum. Churches St. Gayane and St. Hripsime – Return to Yerevan. Includes: (B), (L), (D).
