Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Drive to Kombolcha through the shoan plateau and en route stop at “Ghemasa Ghedel” before Debre Sina enjoy the view and also troops of Gelada Baboons Endemic to Ethiopia. After lunch visit the senbete market where the Afar, Oromo and Amhara exchange their items. Overnight Kombolcha.
Day 2: Early in the morning drive to lalibela via the spectacular scenery of Yejju Wadla Delanta. Visit Lake Hayk around 28 km from Dessie with the monastery of st. Stephen. Lunch will be at Woldia, Dinner and overnight Lalibela. Overnight Lalibela.
Day 3: Visit the 12 th century Rock – hewn churches of lalibela. In the morning visit the first groups Rock- hewn churches and after lunch visit the second group Rock – hewn churches. Overnight Lalibela.
Day 4: Leave our hotel early in the morning for Trekking to Asheton Mariam church. Not only for the church visit but also for its view of the village lunch back to lalibela and afternoon your leisure time. Overnight lalibela.
Day 5: Early in the morning drive to Gondar on the China road which was built by the Chinese in the late 1971s and arguably the best gravel road in Ethiopia via Debre Tabor. Overnight Gondar.
Day 6:In the morning visit the city of Gondar includes the castle compound, Emperor Fasildas bath and Debre Birhan selassie church which is famous for its age old mural paintings. Overnight Gondar.
Day 7: In the morning after breakfast your leisure time in Gondar. After lunch drive to Bahar Dar via Werota. Overnight Bahar Dar.
Day 8: After breakfast drive to the Blue Nile Falls about 35 km and walk like 30 min. to reach the falls crossing the Portuguese bridge. After lunch visit Bahar Dar market. Overnight Bahar Dar.
Day 9: City tour of Bahar Dar, Bezawit Palace and view of Blue Nile and Lake Tana. Afternoon boat trip on Lake Tana to two Islands Zeghe peninsula and kebran Gabriel to visit Ura kidane meheret and kebran Gabriel monasteries. Overnight Bahar Dar.
Day 10: Drive to the town of Dejen via Debre Markos lunch will be on the way and Overnight Dejen.
Day 11: Drive to Addis Ababa cross the Blue Nile Gorge which resembles the Grand Canyon in USA. Visit the “Portuguese bridge and the Gelada Baboons and proceed for the 13 th century monastery of Debre Libanos. Overnight Addis Ababa.
Day 12: After breakfast city tour of Addis Ababa including National museum, Archaeological museum, mt. Entoto, and ‘Merkato’ colorful and the largest market in Eastern Africa. Transfer to Bole International Airport for final departure.
