Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: After arriving to the Airport, you will be met by the head of the group and the interpreter. Then you’ll be transferred by bus to one of the recreation center located in a forest zone of Paratunskiye hot springs. You’ll be well accommodated in hotel in double rooms. You’ll be able to enjoy Russian cuisine and hospitality of local cooks in the hotel cafe. There is an open pool with thermal water (t = 23-38°C) on the territory of the hotel where you can bathe as long as you want (using pool is included into cost of a hotel room). Here you can specify and discuss each point of the program of your residence in Kamchatka.
Day 2: By the off road car you start before 12 o’clock and on the 145 km of Petropavlovsk - Milkovo line the car turns just behind the Vahtang-Malkinsky bridge. After having a bite, we go to Ostryaky with all the equipment for encamping. The way passes through the forest (about 10 km). The Camp is broken in rocky circus. There is a mountain glacial stream flowing from the Jurchik mountain near the camp. From the camp a picturesque view to the rocky formations opens. You can observe such rocky peaks as Glavnaya (the Main), Palets (the Finger) and Ptitsa (the Bird). It’s double pleasure to have a supper among such mountains and in mountain air. Spending the night at the Infernal Crest is unforgettable experience, especially in case of a moonlight night.
Day 3: The ascent on the Jurchik mountain. It lasts 4 hours and takes place on a flat snow-stony slope. You have a chance to see Koryaksky and Avachinsky volcanoes, the Ganalsky ridge, the Central range, valleys of the rivers, provided clear weather. During the walk around the vicinities of the mountain you have a bite. Then after walking full of impressions you are ready and hungry enough to have supper in the camp. Overnight in tents.
Day 4: We have back trekking to the off road car. Driving till the place of our start of rafting. On the first day of rafting you receive the necessary skills for rafting down the mountain rivers and enjoy the views of landscapes which are hidden in wild places of Kamchatka. Our guides will tell you about flora and fauna of the Bystraya (Fast) River flood-lands. This river crosses the Central Range of the Kamchatka peninsula and just on the first day of rafting you’ll take pleasure of picturesque mountain views.
Day 5: You are to pass 2 river rapids which will not leave you indifferent. You will understand as various and unpredictable a mountain river can be. All day long you’ll be rafting in mountains; during the season of salmon spawning there is a chance to watch bear fishing. You’ll see huge rocks, dense thickets of elfin cedar, stone birch and shelamannik (some kind of high mountain grass).
Day 6: After passing the final rapid, you’ll feel yourself a real fisherman and our cook will cook you the most delicious fish-soup "ukha" so-called of the catch. In a small stream during a season you can see the well-known picture of Kamchatka - spawning of salmon. Then driving back to the hotel (4-4.5 hours).
Day 7: You’ll travel to unforgettable place – Mutnovsky volcano which is represented by four merged cones with the tops destroyed by eruptions of different nature. We drive to the bottom of the volcano and encamp there. Then after having dinner we make a walking tour to a small but wonderful couloir where some geothermal activity is observed. Besides we’ll see a waterfall (20 m), formed by the thermal river. Then we have supper and rest in the camp before the ascent of the next day.
Day 8: Early in the morning, after a square breakfast we start our trip. This volcano is unique by giving the opportunity to see its active life from within and to feel its breath without any difficulty! Here you will see: fumarolic fields, steam emissions, mud pots, outcrops of minerals and volcanic sulfur. The Vulkannaya River cuts the bottom of northern crater and forms an 80-meter falls on its outlet, and below it a deep canyon - the Opasny (Dangerous) Ravine is formed. The canyon and a falls have world value as nature sanctuaries. You can have a bite twice during the trip and have supper after returning to the camp. After supper there is a driving to the foot of Gorely volkano and we encamp their.
Day 9: You are offered to climb the Gorely (Burnt) Volcano which represents huge formation with 11 craters on the top and 30 on the slopes. The ascension is not hard even for tourists with poor physical training. The slopes of the cone are covered with numerous lava flows. You can watch all the craters of this volcano in case of fine weather. Depending on condition of snowfields, there’s a wonderful opportunity to look at a surprising show - volcanic caves. Overnight in tents.
Day 10: Driving to the hot mineral springs (Dachnye). There is a sport helisking base "Alney" here. You may have a bath in a wild pool with mineral water, have a rest and enjoy a picturesque view of the mountain river.
Day 11: Driving to the hotel.
Day 12: We invite the visitors of our city to make a fascinating sightseeing tour around Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. During this time you’ll see historical monuments of the city, which is already more than 260 years old. You’ll be told about such famous navigators, as Vitus Bering, Fransua de la Perouse, Charles Clerk, who visited Avacha Bay. From the sightseeing area located on a Petrovskaya Hill, you’ll be able to observe a fine view of Avacha bay and the historical centre of Petropavlovsk. Having visited an exhibition of local lore museum you’ll learn a lot about the nature of Kamchatka, the life of indigenous peoples of peninsula and history of its development. The excursion is made by bus. You visit our fish market and souvenir's shop.
Day 13: It is reserved in the program as one spare day in case of bad weather. If you desire, we organize a helicopter excursion to the Valley of Geysers provided good weather. It is paid separately.
Day 14: Driving to the airport, departure.
Note: Tourists carry all the equipment and food themselves.
