Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Depart USA for Kuala Lumpur.
Day 2: En Route.
Day 3: Arrive at Kuala Lumpur. You will be met and greeted at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and be transferred to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure.
Day 4: Kuala Lumpur. Today you will take an interesting city tour which unveils the beauty and charm of the old and new Kuala Lumpur. First you will visit Masjid Jamek (Jamek Mosque), which is the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur. Then you will visit Tugu Negara or War Memorial where those who perished in the war were worshiped. Chinatown is full of good bargains and deals, foods and rich Chinese culture. You will visit the Thien Hou Temple. You will also pass the Moorish-styled Federal Court, the Railway station which is a striking piece of Mohammedan architecture,the Tudor styled Cricket Club and the Kings Palace. The last stop will be at the Handicraft center where you can see fine and splendid OE Jewelry making demonstrations.
Day 5: Kuala Lumpur/Kota Kinabalu. Fly to Kota Kinabalu. Transfer to your hotel. You will visit the Heritage Village and museum for a closer view of Sabah's ethnic diversity highlighted by the unique local architectural styles of homes in North Borneo and the colorful costume display. Then capture a panoramic view of the city from Signal Hill before proceeding for a city drive by major landmarks such as the State and City Mosque, Aru Beach and the highest building – Tun Mustapha Tower.
Day 6: Kinabalu Park and Poring Rainforest. The jagged granite peaks of Mt. Kinabalu towers above one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world. Nominated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Kinabalu Park is a natural wonder that offers day visitors a glimpse into the fascinating and often unique world of plant and animal life within the park. The montane oak and chestnut forest at park headquarters gives way to lowland dipterocarp forest at Poring on the eastern boundary. Enjoy a short trek through the rain forest and witness life in the treetops as you walk along the 100ft high Canopy Walkway (If closed, it will be replaced with a visit to the Tropical Garden). Take a short trek at one of the mountain trails and visit the Mountain Garden after lunch.
Day 7: Klias Wetland. Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, travel south to the Klias wetland for a river cruise in search of the elusive Proboscis monkey, rare Silver Leaf monkey, mischievous macaques and myriad species of birds that inhabit this unique riverine environment. As dusk falls, look out for crocodiles lurking by the riverbanks. On a moonless night, be mesmerized by the flickering lights of fireflies against the night sky. Enjoy a village-style dinner and immerse yourself in the sounds of nature in this rustic setting.
Day 8: Manukan Island Tour. Take a 20-minute boat ride to Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park for a day of relaxation. Enjoy sun, sea, sand – and a scrumptious BBQ lunch. Swim or snorkel in the blue South China Sea, or just settle down with a good book while our lunch sizzles on the BBQ pit. Transfer back to hotel.
Day 9: Kota Kinabalu/Singapore. Free and easy at hotel until pick-up transfer to airport for your flight to Singapore. Transfer to your hotel.
Day 10: Singapore. See the city's colonial heritage as we drive around the Civic District past the Padang, the Cricket Club, parliament House, Supreme Court and City Hall. Stop at the Merlion Park for great view of Marina Bay and a picture-taking opportunity with the Merlion. A mythological creature that is part lion and part fish. The tour continues with a visit to the Thian Hock Keng Temple, one of the oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples on the island, built with donation from the early immigrant workers from China. Next drive past Chinatown to a local handicraft center to watch Asian craftsmanship. From there we proceed to the National Orchid Garden, located within the Singapore Botanic Garden, which boasts sprawling display of 60,000 orchid plants comprising 400 species and more than 2,000 hybrids. Our final stop at Little India will enthrall you with the scent of joss stocks, jasmine and spices. Rest of the day is free to explore Singapore on your own.
Day 11: Singapore/USA. Transfer to the airport for your flight return home.
