Tour Itinerary:

Day: 1 Bangkok Thailand. You are met on arrival at Bangkok international Airport, we will then escort you to your hotel where you can settle in and relax. Evening dinner and drinks at the hotel give us a chance to get to know each other and discuss your personal plans for what you are wanting out of your trip. Includes: (D).

Day 2: Bangkok – Chang Mai. The following day we visit the Royal Palace, the Wat's, enjoy the many markets and take a boat ride along the Chao Phraya River. This full day is wrapped up once escorted to the train station to depart on the 1st class sleeper train to Chang Mai. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 3: Chang Mai. On arrival into Chang Mai we check you into your hotel. It’s an early arrival so you get the chance to catch some more sleep or go for a stroll around Chang Mai before the afternoon’s event. After lunch we visit the stunning Doi Suthep temple through the windy mountain road up on the mountain top.

Here you can take in the stunning views of Chang Mai below. Returning to the hotel in time for dark we can give you directions on local markets and entertainment areas for you to visit to make the most of your Chang Mai experience. Well known for its night market that is open every night and if the timing is right the every other Sunday street market where some of the best bargains in Thailand can be found, especially northern Thai Silk. Day 4: Golden Triangle - Chang Khong. We travel by car to see the famous golden triangle where Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet visiting the Opium museum and seeing the hill tribes before continuing onto Chang Khong where we spend the night overlooking the Mekong river in all it's glory into the country of Laos on the other side. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 5: Chang Khong – Pak Beng. After crossing the border into Laos we begin our journey along the Mekong to Luang Prabang on a two day boat trip. Along the way we admire the calmness, scenery and the tranquility that Laos is becoming famous for, leaving the cities and hustle behind, Laos beckons. We stop at Pak Beng on the first night the center of the Golden Triangle, a small town surviving mainly on the influx of tourists coming down the river and local crops. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 6: Pak Beng – Luang Prabang. Our second day on the river takes us to Luang Prabang whilst on the way we stop at the Pak Ou Caves. These caves are packed with Buddha images and a sense of mysticism not found elsewhere, you have to experience to believe. Arriving at Luang Prabang transfer to your hotel to either relax or spend the evening walking around this majestic colonial French town with it's splendid architecture and temples. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 7: Luang Prabang. Spend the morning exploring the Wats and visiting the Royal Palace after Lunch free to enjoy the tranquility of this UNESCO World heritage site evening free to by the river or shop in the night market. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 8: Luang Prabang – Vang Vieng. Head of early in the morning along the mountain tops driving to Vang Vieng where you will check into our bungalows overlooking the Nam Song River. An afternoon of relaxing, or try tubing or kayaking down the Nam Song River to see the beautiful scenery of the limestone cliffs. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 9: Vang Vieng – Vientiane - Pakse. Early morning drive to Vientiane, spend the day exploring the city. See the morning market, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Sisaket, Tat Luang Stuppa and especially the strange and wonderful Buddha Sculpture Park and even a glimpse of the Beer Lao factory, before catching the returning to your hotel. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 10: Pakse – Bolaven Plateau. Early morning flight to Pakse visit the coffee and Tea plantations before seeing Tad Fan waterfall which has two twin cascades dropping over 120m off the Bolaven Plateau. Visit Phoui Fair Trade coffee plantation, where you may get a chance to see the processing of coffee from roasting to cupping before departing to Tad Lo Waterfall where you will spend the evening. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day 11: Bolaven Plateau - Champasak. After a fresh coffee start we head from the local village into a half day easy trek to around Tad Lo. After lunch we head to Tad Paxuam waterfall and the local ethnic village surrounding it, make sure to ask as many questions as possible as there are some strange and curious things to see here. Once done we again head to the mighty Mekong crossing over by boat and heading to the Town of Champasak where you will stay at a local guest house. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 12: Wat Phu Champasak - Ban Kiat Ngong - Don Khong. A morning visit to Wat Phu: This Natural Heritage Site was built in the 6th century by the Khmer's and was originally used to worship the Hindu god Shiva and other deity's before being converted into a Buddhist temple in later centuries. Wat Phu was considered the center of the Khmer kingdom until it was moved to Angkor Wat in the 12th century.

After lunch head towards Xe Pian NBCA. At the village of Ban Kiat Ngong you will take an elephant ride up the mountain to visit Phou Asa Temple. We then continue onto Don Khong where you will spend the night at the Sala Don Khong resort at the heart of the 4000 islands. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 13: Don Khong - Don Det - Pakse. Departing Don Khong Island at 8:00am, we meander in our kayaks through the 4000 islands. We stop at Don Det Ban Khone Island where we see the old railway bridge and have lunch. After lunch we put in below Liphi waterfall and kayak to see the rare Irrawaddy dolphins. Can you think of a better way of getting to see them without disturbing their habitat?

Kayaking is the best way to get close to the dolphins. The best place to see them is on the other side of the Laos Border. Yes, we enter Cambodia and then come back to Laos so have your passports ready just in case. We take out at the Laos border with Cambodia and head back to Pakse, but not before stopping at Khon Pa Peng waterfall, the largest cascades on the Mekong, and see the real power of nature. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 14: Pakse - Siem Reap. Take the early morning flight to Siem Reap before seeing one of the Wonders of the World, the Angkor Temples. Two days are spent here visiting these Khmer temples which date back to the 9th Century and are one of humankind's most impressive architectural accomplishments. Visit the Royal City of Angkor Thom, constructed by King Jayavarman VII at the end of the 12th Century. Take a trip to Ta Prohm which has deliberately been left to the jungle and Banteay Srei a small well preserved temple, return to your hotel evening free. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 15: Siem Reap. Wake up to Catch sunrise over Angkor Wat before visiting Kbal Spean a carved riverbed set deep in the jungle, also visit Preah Khan, Neak Pean and Ta Som (B, L).

Day 16: Siem Reap - Battambang. Start the day with one of the most beautiful boat trips in South East Asia. Leaving from Siem Reap along the Sangker River, you will travel down the river passing through protected wetlands, narrow waterways and floating villages. Arrive in Battambang have lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the town. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 17: Battambang - Phnom Penh. Travel to Phnom Penh. Spending the afternoon catching up from the previous days hectic schedule by relaxing or visiting the markets. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 18: Phnom Penh. Spend the day seeing the sites of the city. We visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda before going to the killing fields at Choeung Ek after lunch visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum formerly used as a prison during Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge reign. Your evening is free to explore the markets and or night life of Phnom Penh. Includes: (B), (L).

Day 19: The next day sees us taking you to the airport where you return to Bangkok for either more Thailand adventures or flying on to your next stop. Includes: (B).
