Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Delhi O/N in Delhi. On arrival at Delhi International Airport you will be welcomed by our representative then transfer to the hotel where we are holding the room on ready occupancy basis.
Day 2: In Delhi Sightseeing. After breakfast at 8:00 hrs take sightseeing tour of historic city visiting Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort, a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk, the city tour continues covering New Delhi, visiting Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India’s leading industrial families; Humayun’s Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai’s Temple, Qutub Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; in the evening you can visit see speculative Light and Sound Show at Red Fort. Return to the hotel for overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur. (265 k.m 4.5 hrs drive). Early morning, at 7:30 hrs we drive to Jaipur. Arrive Jaipur and transfer to hotel. After a few hours of rest we start our sightseeing tour of Jaipur city begining with the City Palace. In the evening visit Chokhi Dhani an ethnic resort with ambiance of village serving authentic Rajasthani cuisine with live music and folk dances. Return after dinner to the hotel for night stay.
Day 4: In Jaipur. After breakfast at 8:00 hrs we begin our sightseeing tour of Jaipur by riding a caparisoned elephant to reach the majestic Amber fort before moving to the Jaigarh fort where the Jaivana, reportedly the world's largest cannon on wheels is located. Then after a hearty Rajasthani lunch, we continue our tour of the city starting with the City Palace and Museum where many antiques and artefacts belonging to the ruling family, including a collection of weaponry are housed. The tour then ends with a visit to the Hawa Mahal "Palace of the Winds"and the open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory. Evening free to explore the colorful bazaars where one can shop for various handicrafts. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 5: Jaipur-Ranthambhore (170 k.m 3 hrs drive). After breakfast at 08:00 hrs Today you will drive to Sawai Madhopur town, the site of the famous Tiger Reserve of the country – the Ranthambhore National Park. On arrival in Sawai Madhopur check into hotel. In the afternoon embark on a Jeep Safari into the Park for Game Viewing. Ranthambhore is the ideal place to spot the tiger. The majestic predator assured of protection, roams freely during the daytime and can be seen at close quarters. Other wildlife to be seen include sambar, chital, nilgai (blue bull), chinkara, langur, wild boar, sloth bear, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, pythons and leopards. Crocodiles abound in the lakes. The lakes also attract a large number of migratory and local birds. The best time to visit is between October and April. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Ranthambhore. Today morning take Jungle Safari by open Canter accompanied by an expert naturalist to explore The Ranthambhore wildlife Sanctuary, one of the best places in India to see a tiger in its natural habitat. In the dry season tigers can be seen near the watering holes and are clearly visible in the dry forest. Return to the hotel for a lunch. Later visit Ranthambhore Fort over looking the National Park and Jogi Mahal. Also visit the famous Temple of Ganesha in the Fort. Rest of the evening free for leisure activities at the jungle resort. Overnight at Ranthambhore.
Day 7: Ranthambhore-Agra (280 k.m 4.5 hrs drive). After breakfast at 8:00 hrs drive to Agra. On the way have a stopover at Fatehpur Sikir the Mughal splendour of Agra, the ghost city 35 kms from Agra. Fatehpur Sikri built in red sandstone in honor of Saint Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of 3 sons to Emperor Akbar, is an example of robust stability combined with originality. Each important edifice here represents a type by itself. Notable among them is the Diwan-e-Khas, Panch Mahal, Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza. Drive on to Agra and check-in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast included)
Day 8: Agra. In the morning at 6:30 hrs embark on a full day tour of Agra. Visit the incomparable Taj Mahal. This monument a fine example of fusion of many architectural styles is one of the wonders of the modern world. Built in 1652 by Emperor Shahjahan. It took 22 years and 20,000 skilled artisans to complete this poem in white marble. Then visit the Agra Fort, which lies across the river Jamuna. It was here that Aurangzeb the third son of Shahjahan kept his father under house arrest. One can get the most moving view of the Taj from the little octagonal tower in the Fort. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-daullah, built by Empress Noorjahan in memory of her father. It is a small tomb but made of splendid marble construction. Its craftsmanship foreshadows that of the Taj Mahal. It was here that 'pietra dura' the inlay work on marble, so characteristic of the Taj was first used. This is followed by a visit to a marble factory to witness the inlay work of precious and semi-precious stones into marble. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9: Agra-Khajuraho. 08:15/10:45 (By train). After early breakfast at 07:00 hrs checkout from your hotel and catch a train to Jhansi. On arrival at Jhansi railway station our representative will assist you and will drive to Khajuraho. After relaxation visit the famous temples of the world. Western group of Temples consisting of the massive Laxman Temple dedicated to lord Vishnu, the Laxmi and Varaha temples dedicated to Vishnu’s consort Laxman, the Kandariya Mahadev temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Chausath Yogini temple dedicated to goddess Kali. Also visit Archaeological museum with its collection of stone sculptures of the Chandela dynasty. Overnight stay at Khajuraho.
Day 10: Khajuraho-Varanasi. (By air) 13:30/14:10. Early morning visit Eastern group of Temples and visit the Jain temples of Parsvanath, Adinath, and Shanti Nath. Also visit the temples of Vamana and Brahma/Hanuman both dedicated to lord Vishnu. Later drive to Khajuraho Airport at 12:00 hrs for your flight to Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi transfer and check into the hotel. Later in the evening visit some of the famous Ghats of the Ganges. Enjoy the Aarti Ceremony at Ganges. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 11: In Varanasi. Delhi (By train) 19:15 / 07:25. Early morning boat ride on the Ganges at dawn when it is full of pilgrims is an amazing place to witness the living traditions of one of the world's oldest and most important religions. While on the boat you will also see the cremation ceremonies of dead bodies as per Hindi Rituals. After lunch visit to Banaras Hindu University - probably the largest residential university in Asia, in the university visit at Bharat Kala Museum. Later proceed on a tour of the temples of Varanasi visiting the Golden Temple dedicated to lord Shiva, the Durga temple dedicated to goddess Durga. Interestingly the Durga Temple is also known as the Monkey Temple due to the large number of monkeys found in the Temple premises, In the evening you can take a walk through the narrow lane to explore and colorful market of the ancient city. Later in the evening you will be transferred to Varanasi Railway station for your overnight train journey to Delhi. Overnight in Train.
Day 12: Delhi Departure. On arrival at Delhi Railway station you will be transferred to Delhi International Airport for your flight for onwards journey. Tour concludes.
