Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive at Kigali airport- You will be welcomed by our company safari guide who will transfer in the afternoon to Kinigi the home of mountain Gorillas. overnight at Kinigi Guest House.
Day 2: Trekking in the forest on the edge of the Virunga mountain chain to find one of the last mountain gorilla families in the world - back in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel. For those who like to visit the Diana fossey tomb an extra day can be organized by their need.
Day 3: After breakfast we proceed to Butare via Gisenyi, will have a short stop in Kibuye for lunch and to admire the beautiful lake Kivu.
Day 4: Early morning we start the trekking in Nyungwe forest to fund the Chimpanzees, Bleu monkeys, golden monkeys among others. Back to the hotel and overnight in Butare or Uwika.
Day 5: Visit of Butare museum and be entertained by Rwandan traditional dancer called "Intore" after we Drive to Nyanza, the historical seat of the ancient Rwandan kings – visit to the Palace and narration of some village elders – drive to Kigali and overnight.
Day 6: Morning after break fast - Drive to Uganda via the Kagitumba Border - We will have a short stop at the Equator for a photographic opportunity as well as an informative talk. Transfer to Jinja and Overnight.
Day 7: This day can be dedicated for white water rafting in Jinja. Alternative you will be visiting the source of the Nile River and Bujagali Falls and when time allows you can visit the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine and continue to Kampala for overnight stay.
Day 8: Depart from Kampala by road to Murchison Falls National Park. Enroute have a Stopover for lunch at Masindi and then proceed to the Park through Bulisa escarpment overlooking Lake Albert - arriving in the afternoon. Check in Parra campsite or Parra Safari Lodge, and then leave for a game drive up to the top of the falls; come back to the Lodge for an overnight.
Day 9: After breakfast set off for a game drive cross on the ferry up to Pakuba there you may get a chance to see some animals like lions, leopards, hyenas, foxes, giraffes, and many others. Come back to the hotel for lunch and then get ready for a launch drive along the Nile up to the button of the falls. Chances of sighting the shoe bill stork are many though not a guarantee, continue up to the bottom of the falls where you will see marine animals like the crocodiles, schools of hippos and many species of birds.
Day 10: Early morning after Break fast Drive to Kibale forest national park, have lunch at Fort Portal and then set off for Kibale for Chimps viewing and tracking. Late in the afternoon come back and stay a night at Ndali Lodge/Rwenzori View Guest House.
Day 11: Drive To Queen Elizabith National park - After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos, buffaloes, elephants and many animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species - Overnight at Mweya safari lodge.
Day 12: Early morning wake up for the morning game drive to catch up with early risers and predators returning to their hideouts. During the game drive, you will be likely to meet grazing hippos, elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, water bucks, stripped jackal, leopard and of course the several warthogs. Return to the lodge for lunch and Drive to Lake Bunyonyi to relax.
Day 13: Drive To Kigali- After lunch- Discovering Kigali and its surrounding, Visit of the Kigali genocide memorial museum, here you will know what happened in Rwanda in 1994. Overnight
Day 14: Personal Goodbye - Shopping in Kigali and transfer to the airport for Departure Flight.
The tariff includes:
Airport transfers, Accommodation, Ground transportation by 4x4 tourist Land Cruiser or minibus, English speaking Driver/Guide, All park Entrance fees, taxes
The tariff does not include:
Gorilla permit, Air ticket, Tourist insurance/ local health insurance, Entrance visas, Meals, drinks and tips.
Terms and Conditions:
*Reservations: We require a 40% deposit of the total tour cost upon confirmation of the tour. The balance ca be payed upon arrival. For bookings coming one month before departure we shall require the full payment of the tour costs. The payment is made by international money transfer to the company bank account in Rwanda or Congo Drc.
*Cancellations:
- All cancellation penalties depend on the number of days before tour departure:
- Before 50 days: Full refund
- Between 50 days and 25 days: Refund of 70% of the deposit
- Less than 25 days: No refund
- There is no refund of any unused portion of your tour once commenced.
Notes:
Airfare is not included in the tour price.
A discount can be grated according to the type of hotel you will choose and the number of people you have in your group.
