Cat Ba National Park is located on Cat Ba Island, 150 km east of Hanoi. The park covers approximately 200 km, two thirds of which consists of a forested zone and one third, a marine zone. One should leave Halong Bay or Do Son without a visit to Cat Ba Island. The island is home to over 600 kinds of plants including Bang, Goi Nep, Sang Le, and Kim Giao trees. The fauna living on the island is also diverse; the island is home to rare wild white-headed languors, deer, and macaques, to name a few. Cat Ba marine reserves comprise sea turtles, lobster, coral, oysters, and dolphins. The cool weather in Cat Ba is suitable for relaxation and convalescence. From Hanoi, one can travel to Haiphong by train or by bus, and then by boat to Cat Ba Island.
Ha Long Bay, located in the Gulf of Tonkin, covers an area of 1500 square km. The calm sea provides an ideal location for sea kayaking amid dramatic natural scenery. With our modern kayaking equipment, we are able to maximize speed and maneuverability as we paddle and explore the many hidden lagoons and caves. After a day of paddling, we unwind on a deserted beach on one of Ha Long's many islands and enjoy dinner before retiring to sleep under a blanket of stars. Combining the best of sea kayaking and camping, these tours allow the novice and the experienced Kayaker to sample the delights of this sport in some of Vietnam's most stunning scenery. Our equipment includes modern Xebec Kayaks, which are stable and safe with lightweight aluminum paddles. All passengers and guides are supplied with modern, international standard buoyancy vests. We also use lightweight tents all of which are fitted with mosquito screens.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 - Hanoi - Ha Long (L, D). Early morning, Car pick up and transfer to Halong, drive through the plain of the Red River delta to Ha Long in Quang Ninh province – One of the great wonders. Check-in board procedure. Boat cruise to visit the bay's more than 2000 rocks and islands, splendid landscape and well-known grottoes of Dau Go and Thien Cung. Enjoy seafood lunch on board. More cruise on the bay sightseeing Dinh Huong islet, Ga Choi, Dog and Sail islet, sunset view on the Bay. Experience dinner and night on board, free time watching stars and the bay at night.
Day 2 - Ha Long - Hanoi (B, L). Cruising around Luon cave, Man's head island, Tortoise island, Virgin cave. Free time swimming on the bay. Lunch on board. Back to the dock and check out of board. Return to Hanoi. Dinner and night in Hanoi.
