Southern Arizona offers great winter biking on quiet roads in the Sonoran desert with giant saguaro and other cacti, vast grassland prairies, pine forests and the rugged, rock formations of the surrounding mountains. The area also offers rich historical traditions with the Native American San Xavier Reservation and Mission; Hispanic architecture, food and culture; and the rangeland, cowboy culture of Tombstone, Bisbee and other wild-west towns. This trip is a perfect introduction to the natural beauty and historic traditions of the Southwest.

*Daily Distance: Basic routes: 25 to 45 miles with longer and shorter options available on all days.
