Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival on own. Check into the wonderful Gallery Hotel Art, completely redone by the Ferragamo family, and one of the most innovative hotels in Florence. Afternoon at leisure. Welcome Dinner, after a brief walk over the Ponte Vecchio, at the informal Tuscan trattoria, Osteria di Cinghiale Bianco.
Day 2: Breakfast in hotel. Morning dedicated to a walking tour of Florence's art treasures, including a special pre-set visit to the Academy Museum to see Michelangelo's David. Afternoon dedicated to shopping Florence's maze of shops with the skillful assistance of our special shopping hostess.
Day 3: Breakfast in hotel. Departure in morning for Gucci outlet right outside of Florence. Light lunch (on own) and proceed to Montevarchi for an afternoon of shopping at the Prada outlet. Return to Florence in early evening. Dinner on own.
Day 4: Breakfast in hotel. Morning dedicated to a tour of Florence's famous artisans shops - Oltrarno - on the other side of the Arno River. Afternoon free - to do your last minute Florentine shopping for leather, jewelry etc.
Day 5: Breakfast in hotel. 9:00 am Departure by private bus for Milan. Early afternoon arrival in Milan and check into the Hotel De La Ville, in the heart of Milan's historic center - just steps from the Duomo, La Scala, and all of the fabulous shops which have made Milan Europe’s fashion and design capital. Early afternoon walking tour of Milan's fabled shopping streets (Via Montenapoleone, Via Sant'Andrea, Via della Spiga, Via Manzoni) with our specially chosen shopping hostess.
Day 6: Breakfast in hotel. Morning dedicated to a tour of Milan's historic sights, including a special showing of Leonardo's masterpiece, the "Last Supper" Afternoon visits to Milan's designer outlets, with our shopping hostess.
Day 7: Breakfast in hotel. Today is dedicated to a visit to the fabulous shopping outlets outside of Milan - morning visits to the Armani outlet, Mantero (silk) and Lario (shoes and accessories). Then off to Switzerland for a visit to Foxtown in nearby Mendrisio — considered one of Europe's top fashion and design outlet centers. Every well known Italian fashion name is there! Early evening return to Milan and farewell dinner at Rigolo's, one of Milan's oldest and continually most popular restaurants, frequented by journalists, fashion people and Milan good eating devotees.
Day 8: Breakfast in hotel. Departure on own.
