"8 DAYS: GUIDED INN & INN WALKING PROGRAM AT EAST-MADEIRA:
1.- Day: Flight to Madeira - Transfer to Estalagem Café Relógio (****) in Camacha – stay for 1 Night Camacha is the starting point of this wonderful “Central & East Madeira” Walking program.
Accommodation Basis: Double bedroom, or Twin bedroom, including breakfast!
Daily breakfast served between: 07:30 – 10 Am.
2. DAY: 1st. Walking day: " CAMACHA / SANTO DA SERRA: 4hours. DIFFICULTY GRADE: (2)
The walking day starts at your hotel in Camacha at about 9 am and finishes at Águas Mansas in Santo da Serra Village, around 1P.M.
This is a charming walking tour, covered up with luxuriant vegetation, wild flowers, eucalyptus & pine forest, surrounded by tiny familiar farms lands and wonderful landscapes all the way through. Picnic at Santo da Serra village. Afterwards visit the public Santo da Serra Park.
Return Transfer to your next Hotel – in Machico. In Machico stay at a family small Hotel (***) located on the centre of the town a few stones away from sea front. We can’t guarantee a name in advance due to the high demand. We can guarantee you the quality, and the nice and friendly atmosphere of a 3 star friendly small hotel in Machico, for one Night stay. Those are located on the charming area of Machico town, closed to the front Sea. Open to availability: Residencial Familia, Residencial Amparo, Residencial A Perola!
3. Day: 2nd. Walking day: MACHICO / LARANO AT PORTO DA CRUZ:
5 hours.DIFFICULTY GRADE: (2/3)
-After the breakfast at about 9 AM, transfer to the tunnel. Today’s walk will be a mixture between easy walk, and a bit hard trekking tour. Along side the Levada de Machico, you will enjoy the fantastic views and the luxuriant vegetation that involves the Levada area. From Risco to Porto da Cruz (Alberagria do Penedo) along the north side coast, 500 meters above the sea, with its wonderful and unforgettable views. Today your hotel is Albergaria do Penedo a (***) guesthouse, of Porto da Cruz sea front. (1Night)
4. Day: "3rd. Walking day: QUEIMADAS / ILHA in SANTANA: 06 hours.DIFFICULTY GRADE: (2/3)
-Around 09:00 AM, transfer to Residencial Curtado in Santana, just a short stop to deposit the luggage. The drive carries on to the nice Madeira Nature Park at Queimadas by Santana. The start of our walking day is at Queimadas alongside the Levada to Caldeirão Verde, and then to Caldeirao do Inferno, the walk will finish at the small village of Ilha.
•Transfer from Fajã da Nogueira to Casa da Fajã Alta a (***) a typical countryside family house - (1 Night).
5. Day: 4th."Walking day: ACHADA DO TEIXEIRA/PICO DO ARIEIRO:
04 hours.DIFFICULTY GRADE: (3)
About 08:45 AM, depart time for today's trekking tour.
This is a wonderful trekking path with up and downs, from the beginning to the end. We will reach the highest picks do Ruivo and do Arieiro, with its incredible views over to the North, East, West, and South.
•Transfer to Estalagem Café Relógio (***) (1 Night.) will be spent over here at the charming Village of Camacha.
6. Day: 5th. "Walking day: CAMACHA / MONTE:
04 / 5 hrs.DIFFICULTY GRADE: (2/3)
After the breakfast at about 09 o'clock, we start the last walking day. Directly from the village of Camacha, we will walk alongside Levada dos Tornos, till the beautiful village of Monte. In Monte after a short break, we will visit Nossa Senhora do Monte church, and its surrounding gardens. Afterwards, everybody is invited to descending from Monte to Livramento, using the famous Toboggan ride (sledge car). Transfer from Livramento to Vila Camacho (***) or similar in case of unavailability for the length of (2 Nights) stay: Location, Funchal suburbs, about 3km away from centre, good connected with public busses, etc.
7. Day: Free!
Discovering Funchal city at you own pleasure, we recommend visits, to the flowers & fish Market, embroidered centre, wine cellars, Santa Catarina Park, Municipal Garden, City hall, Marina. If you enjoy the sea, we would like to recommend you also, to join a sailing tour on the famous Santa Maria of Columbus Caravel, (Please enquiry with your guide). At evening, the dinner today will be taken at typical fish Restaurant near to the market. Alternatively a Typical Madeira dinner with folklore shows can, also be arranged.
8. Day: Departing!
For no extend holidays program, we will pick you up back to the airport around 2,30hrs, before you schedule flight time in case of a charter flight, otherwise a linen flight – would be only 1.30hrs.needed.
