*Annapurna Region - best season – October through May: The Annapurna region is geographically and culturally diverse and has been declared a conservation area. Various tribes inhabit the region's subtropical lowlands, bamboo, oak and rhododendron forests, windswept desert plateaus and the towering Annapurna mountains. Animal inhabitants include the marten, 4 species of wild deer, 2 species of monkey and the elusive snow leopard plus over 400 species of birds and many other mammals and reptiles.

*Everest Region - best season - October through May: Treks in the Everest region takes you to the foot of the world's highest mountains traveling through temperate forests through villages, rivers and forests of rhododendron and pine right up to the snow line. These treks afford the closest and most spectacular views of the Himalayas, and you will meet mostly Sherpa and Tibetan people.
The most popular treks in the Everest region are:
- Instant Everest Trek (Sherpa villages) - 8-10 days
- Gokyo Everest Trek - 12-14 days
- Gokyo to Kala Patthar Trek - 20-22 days
- Everest Base Camp Kala Patthar Trek - 14-16 days.
Note: The above treks require fly-in/ fly-out to/ from Lukla. Flight schedules for the short take off and landing airstrip at Lukla are subject to change due to the weather. Treks in this region can be extended by a week by walking in from Jiri and flying out from Lukla.
