M17639 - a Greek island group in the Aegean Sea, south-east of the mainland of Greece; and an administrative prefecture of Greece. They are one of the island groups which constitute the Aegean archipelago. The name refers to the islands around the sacred island of Delos. M17639 comprise about 220 islands, the major ones being Amorgos, Anafi, Ándros, Antiparos, Delos, Ios, Kéa, Kimolos, Kythnos, Mílos, Mykonos, Náxos, Páros, Folegandros, Serifos, Sifnos, Sikinos, Síros, Tínos, and Santorini. Most of the smaller islands are uninhabited.
The Ionian Islands are a group of islands in Greece. They are traditionally called the Seven Islands, but the group includes many smaller islands as well as the seven principal ones. The seven are, from north to south: Kerkyra, Paxi, Lefkada, Ithaki, Kefallonia, Zakynthos and Kythira
Calabria is situated in the southern part of the Italian peninsula. Almost the entire region is washed by the sea (the coasts extend for no less than 780 km): to the East by the Tyrrhenian Sea and to the West by the Ionian Sea. It is also the largest island entity in the Mediterranean Sea, though several much smaller islands surrounding it are also considered part of Sicily.
Sardinia is the second-largest island in the Mediterranean Sea (after Sicily). The area of Sardinia is 24 090 square kilometers. The island lies surrounded (clockwise from north) by the French island of Corsica, the Italian Peninsula, Tunisia and the Spanish Balearic Islands.
The Balearic Islands are an archipelago in the western Mediterranean Sea, near the eastern coast of the Iberian Peninsula.
Valencia is the capital of the Spanish autonomous community of Valencia and its province. It is the third largest city in Spain. It forms part of an industrial area on the Costa del Azahar.
Gibraltar is a British overseas territory located near the southernmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. The territory shares a border with Spain to the north. Gibraltar has historically been an important base for the British Armed Forces and is the site of a Royal Navy base.
