As a fly drive or a coach tour, this tour takes you into the coastal mountains where you will travel through a myriad of regions. You can explore the rugged coast from Victoria to Tofino, Whale or Bear watching, thousand-year-old forests and spectacular Pacific Ocean beaches.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Optional 1st night
Arrive in Vancouver.
Day 2: Vancouver to Whistler
Vancouver to Whistler – After a visiting the Lookout, we drive along the Sea to Sky Highway and Howe Sound to the world-renowned resort town of Whistler, a favourite in summer or winter. We recommend a stop at Shannon Falls along the way.
Day 3: Whistler Exploring
Whistler Exploring – There is much to do in the bustling village of Whistler. From canoeing on Green Lake to horseback riding in the wilderness, flight-seeing tours to river-rafting or take the Whistler Gondola to points on the mountains.
Day 4: Whistler to Vancouver
Whistler to Vancouver – Explore BC’s own mountain world from the temperate rainforest on the coast to alpine lakes, glaciers, and desert-like vegetation. Drive along with us the deep Fraser Canyon, the Gold Rush Trail down to Hope, and from there to Vancouver. With a stop at Hell’s Gate and several picturesque stops along the way, one of which is at Lillooet where the Famous Gallow Tree is located.
Day 5: Vancouver to Tofino
Vancouver to Tofino – Today, after a ferry ride you will drive west from Nanaimo to the small village of Tofino. Enroute we recommend stops at Cathedral Grove, Long Beach, and Pacific Rim National Park.
Day 6: Tofino Exploring
Tofino Exploring – Today you will either take a Black Bear or Whale-Watching tour by boat for 2 to 2.5 hours. Upon returning spend the rest of the day exploring the village, white sandy beaches, or even take the short drive to the fishing village of Ucluelet and take a walk on the spectacular Wild Pacific Trail.
Day 7: Tofino to Victoria
Tofino to Victoria – After a last walk on the beach you will drive east through the town of Port Alberni, by Cathedral Grove to Coombs. A stop may be warranted for shopping. Then south through Nanaimo to Cowichan (to see the Cowichan Native Village) and Chemainus to view the City of Murals. Then onto The Garden City of Victoria. Free evening.
Day 8: Victoria to Vancouver
Victoria to Vancouver – This morning after checkout, you will drive or transfer to world famous Butchart Gardens and its 55 acres of spectacular floral displays from the Sunken Gardens to the charming Rose Garden.
Day 9: Tour Ends.
