Tour Highlights: This is a 12 days journey from the "Baikal" Lake in Siberia, Russia to the Great "Gobi" desert in Mongolia. Discover stunning Lake Baikal (Siberia's blue pearl). The Baikal is the deepest lake in the world and holds more than 20 percent of the world's fresh water. Enjoy the fantastic scenery of blue sky, white clouds, full blosson of flowers and the Mongol herds of sheep and cattle on the grassland! We will experience both the Mongolian culture and Nomadic people. Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar (UB), Mongolia. On arrival, you are welcomed by our representative and are transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city! Today is spent on a guided city tour of Ulaanbataar, highlights include Sukhbataar Main Square, the New monument of "Chinggis" Khan, the National History Museum where you will see artefacts from Mongolia from the Stone Age to the present, and displays of the development of Mongolian arts and culture. See Mongolian traditional folk songs and dance concert. Have welcome dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at 4 stars hotel. Included: (D).
Day 2: Transfer from the airport and fly to Irkustk. Transfer to Baikal Hotel. Accommodation at hotel. City tour: visits the orthodox San Salvador. Lunch in local restaurant "Bear". In the afternoon, free. Accommodation at Baikal Hotel. Explore Siberian city Irkutsk including its splendid museums and renowned architecture. Included: (B), (L).
Day 3: Breakfast at Baikal Hotel. In the morning, transfer to Listvyanka village. In route, visit "Taltsy" museum. Lunch in local restaurant "of Zar". Accommodation at Baikal Hotel in Listvianka. Included: (B), (L).
Day 4: Breakfast, excursion to Limnological museum (Baikal museum), walking tour (trekking) to Chersky peak. Cruise or boating in Baikal Lake. In the afternoon, return to Irkustk. Accommodation at Baikal Hotel. Included: (B).
Day 5: Breakfast. Free time in leisure (check out from the hotel 12:00m). Meet and transfer to Irkutsk to the airport. Aboard the plane to fly to UB. Arrive in UB airport . Transfer to the Hotel. Free time. Overnight at 4 stars hotel. Included: (B), (L).
Day 6: In the morning , visits the Main square, "Gandan" Lamasery, the largest Monastery in Mongolia and the buddhist ceremony. Lunch in local restaurant. After, depart drive to the "Sacred Tuul river Nomad's Valley". We will experience both the Mongolian culture and people while seeing its untouched nature. In route, visit The Higgest New Statue Of "Chinggis Khan" , Close To Our "Chinggis" Tourist Base Camp (3kms) .Welcome dinner with traditional mongolian meal (khorkhog), which is mutton cooked with hot rock and with vegetables, water, potatoes, and onion. Overnight at the comfortable "Chinggis" Tourist Base Camp. This Tourist Base Camp offers hot water, showers, western style toilets and restaurant in extremely beautiful natural locations. Included: (B), (L), (D).
Day 7: Drive to "Terelj" National Park. Visit the Tortoise rock and the area. Hiking to the top of the mountain to visit small Buddhist monastery. This is a picturesque place of high cliffs eroded in granites of Mesozoic age. Picnic lunch is provided. Return drive for dinner and overnight at the "Chinggis" Tourist Base Camp (with hot water, showers, western style toilets and restaurant). Included: (B), (L), (D).
Day 8: After breakfast , transfer to UB airport and fly to South Gobi desert . Arrive in Gobi, meet and transfer to the Gobi tourist camp . Next drive to "Yol Valley Protected Area in Gobi Gurvan Shaikhan National Park" for trekking, and hiking, the Gobi Glacier and the wildlife of the area. An opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape. In the afternoon, return drive for dinner and overnight at the tourist camp. Included: (B), (L), (D).
Day 9: After breakfast drive to the "Flaming Cliffs" in Bayanzad (dinosaur excavation site). Explore the Gobi Dinosaur Cemetery and to follow the historic trail of paleontologist / explorer Dr. Roy Chapman Andrews. Overnight in tourist camp. Included: (B), (L), (D).
Day 10: After breakfast, drive to visit the Moltsog Els sand dunes in Gobi desert. An opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape, and optional camel riding. In the afternoon, return drive to "Gobi" tourist camp for dinner and overnight at the gers camp. Included: (B), (L), (D).
Day 11: Transfer to Gobi local airport. Aboard the plane to fly back to UB. Arrive in UB airport, meet and transfer to the Hotel. In the afternoon, city tour of Ulaanbataar, highlights include the Museum of Natural Historic, where you will see two complete dinosaur skeletons, which were found in the Gobi - the giant flesh-eating Tarbosaurus, 15m tall and four to five tons in weight, and the little duck-billed plant-eating Saurolophus, and displays of Mongolia's geography, flora and fauna, "Bogd Khan"; Winter Palace, the war memorial "Zaisan" Hill . Some shopping. Overnight at hotel. Overnight at Hotel. Included: (B), (L).
Day 12: Departure from Mongolia to your country destination (or Post tour to Khovsgol Lake National Park or to Beijing, China, according to separate program). Transfer from hotel to Ulaan Baatar airport or railway station. Included: (B).
