Vis is relative isolate, with wild rugged beauty, and deep connection to its Mediterranean maritime heritage. The island's network of caves and secluded bays make it a sea kayaker's dream. Historically a military base and closed to tourists until 1998, Vis is an island unspoiled by tourism and development.
