Relax at the Hilton, mix it with the professional cyclists in the foyer, or perhaps across the road in the Tour Village, where mechanics rebuild the bikes, amongst an amazing display of cycling components. You may also collect your jersey and confirm your entry in the Challenge Tour. A welcome dinner will be arranged, allowing you to meet the crew and cyclists who will be sharing this big week of cycling with you.

Day 3: Mawson Lakes to Angaston. An early morning ride with Phil Liggett or perhaps a ride to the lookout at the top of Mt Lofty, overlooking beautiful Adelaide. We then go to the start of today's race, see the cyclists preparing and signing in, then we're off to the Barossa Valley to taste the local wine, watch the cyclists collect their lunch bags on the run (ride) at the feed station, then cheer them on at the finish, c'mon aussie c'mon. Back to the Hilton in time for the happy hour and the Club Tour BBQ.

The King Of the Mountain features here, before the finish at Victor Harbor, an historic village, sprinkled with shops and cottages made from local limestone. On the way back, perhaps a visit to a McLaren Vale winery before preparing for the big ride tomorrow.

Day 6: Mannum to Strathalbyn. The Mutual Community Challenge Tour is on again this year, with a couple of thousand cyclists taking on the 134km or 73km ride, both distances cycling over the exact route the Tour Down Under follows a few hours later. We bus you with your bike to the start of either distance and collect you at the finish in the lovely town of Strathalbyn. Refreshments and food are supplied during and after the ride. We stay to enjoy the festivities in the village, then cheer the pro cyclists as they finish their race. Dinner tonight will be all about replacing those carbs and sharing stories of the day.

We ride from the Hilton through the Lofty Ranges and McLaren Vale wineries, cycling the Willunga Hill if you choose, before watching exciting racing through Willunga. The "Legends" night dinner is on tonight, hosted by Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwin.
