Great Mt. Thanglha Angchu, 6330m above sea level, located in Damxung County area (186 km northeast of Lhasa city), is the middle part of Nyanchen Thanglha Mountain Chains. Thanglha Angchu in Tibetan language means the "Confucian classics teacher" of the Nyanchen Thanglha Mountain.
Climbing Route: Base Camp (4800m) 5-6 hours, Advanced Base Camp (5450m) 4-5 hours, Camp 1 (6000m) 5-6 hours, Peak (6330m) 6 hours, Camp1, Advanced Base Camp.
Your Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Lhasa by train or air as per your convenience, transfer service, o/n at Traditional 3 stars standard Hotel
Day 2: Sightseeing Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar
Day 3: Sightseeing Lhasa: Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery
Day 4: Free day to explore Lhasa on your own. Personal necessary preparation for climbing expedition
Day 5: Drive Lhasa to Base Camp (4800m), about 4 hours drive, rest
Day 6: Rest in Base Camp for acclimatization
Day 7: Base Camp to ABC (Advanced Base Camp - 5450m)
Day 8: Acclimatizing in ABC, walking and climbing exercise in snowy and icy ground
Day 9: ABC (5450m) to Camp 1 (6000m)
Day 10: Camp1 to Peak of Thanglha Angchu, back to ABC (5450m)
Day 11: ABC-Base Camp-Lhasa
Day 12: Free day in Lhasa
Day 13: Depart Lhasa by air or train for your next destination.
