This is an unusual safari that is for those who want to explore our diversity. From Nairobi we will drive across the Rift Valley’s past the tea carpets of Kericho to the coffee farms of Kisii and then to Ruma. We will also visit the remote fishing beaches of Rusinga Island before we move on to Kisumu and then go for birding in Kakamega forest. Back to the Rift Valley we will visit Lake Nakuru and then end this safari in Nairobi.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Leave Nairobi in the morning for a drive across the Rift valley to Ruma national park.. After dinner, an overnight stay at the camp.
Day 2: We will have an early breakfast before having a game drive on our way out as we move to the shoreline of Lake Victoria arriving here in time for lunch. After lunch we will enjoy the afternoon while doing boating as we explore the fishing beaches of Rusinga Island. Dinner and overnight stay is at the camp.
Day 3: Today we will leave after breakfast for Kisumu where we will visit the museum and also enjoy the sunset at Hippo Point.
Day 04: After an early breakfast, we will leave Kisumu for Kakamega forest. We arrive here in time for lunch after which we visit a Luhya homestead for a cultural dance. Back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Breakfast will be early this morning followed by a walking excursion in the forest in search of its array of birds, butterflies and monkey species. Back in the afternoon for a rest as you update your safari journal. Dinner and an overnight at the camp.
Day 6: Leave Kakamega forest in the morning after breakfast for Lake Nakuru arriving in the afternoon and we will enjoy a game drive on our way to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: This day starts with us breaking camp for an early morning drive in search of more game. This could also be our best opportunity of spotting the least seen African cat, the leopard. We will move on to the Baboon’s Cliff for a bird’s eye view of the lake and its pink shoreline where we will prepare our breakfast while enjoying this panoramic vista. From the cliffs we will do our game drive as we drive out of the park for Nairobi where this safari ends.
