Our workshops provide 6 to 8 students with serious training by a master painter. You can look forward to a warm and attentive hospitality and a taste of the real Spain. Your accommodations (a gorgeous, landmark country mansion built in 1754 and surrounded by pristine country-side though only 3 or 4 miles from Spain’s prettiest fairytale village: Arcos de la Frontera) are comfortable and enjoyable, indeed, more than enjoyable: memorable.
The courses focus on figurative painting and portraits with a live model and landscape. Almost all your expenses are covered: breakfast and lunch (in Spain lunch, not supper, is the big meal of the day) beautiful rooms with wood-burning fireplaces are extremely cozy in winter and a beautiful swimming pool is available in summer. Pick-up and drop-off from Jerez airport, and all transport; excepting entry fees to museums, Flamenco shows, historical buildings, etc. All the exciting excursions are also included.
Instead of giving a fixed itinerary (which would make life easier for us) we like to offer a few alternatives among the embarrassment of riches we have here. During the time between workshops we like to get a feel for the consensus within the group before deciding where to take you while you are here.
