Tour Itinerary:
9:00am. What better way to enjoy the beauty of the Barossa Valley than from an exquisite, classic Daimler. Once aboard, your wine guide will drive you to the Penfolds Barossa Winery where you will enjoy a private wine tasting.
9:45am. The next destination for the day is Penfolds Kalimna Vineyard where the Penfolds viticulturalist will escort you through the vineyard.
Kalimna is not only the home to the Shiraz grapes used to make the world famous Penfolds Grange*, but also the historic 'Block 42' vines, thought to be the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon wines in the world. Morning tea, a local bakery basket will be enjoyed at the homestead.
11.00am. The next stop is the stunning Wolf Blass Visitors Center for a comprehensive and exclusive behind the scenes winery tour followed by the First Class Flight wine tasting. This is a personalized experience led by a Wolf Blass wine educator and a great chance to sample some of Australia's best wines, including the iconic Platinum Shiraz.
1:00pm. Saltram Winery will take you through a red wine tasting showcasing some of the gems of the Saltram portfolio. Salters Kitchen is the venue for a lunch of local Barossa produce, the very best of the region, accompanied by Mamre Brook Chardonnay and No. 1 Shiraz.
2:30pm. You will then be escorted to the historic Seppeltsfield Winery. Here the beauty of the location is surpassed only by the vast range of award winning sparkling, still and fortified wines. You will enjoy a personalized tour of the winery and its museum, culminating in a tasting of fortified wines, including the remarkable and very valuable Seppelt 100 Year Old Para Liqueur Tawny.
5:00pm. Return to accommodation.
