Spend four nights in Cape Town, one of the most cosmopolitan and historical cities in South Africa. You next stop on this sophisticated adventure to the world famous Kruger National Park, where you will stay at Jock Safari Lodge, offering the very best in luxury, comfort and game viewing.

You will experience the thrill of close encounters with Africa’s big five while out on game drives or walking safaris. Interpret the signs, sounds and scents of wild animals in this unspoiled wilderness. Continue your adventure to Livingstone, in Zambia to witness one of the nature’s creations – “Victoria Falls”. Finally, end your safari at Chobe national Park famous for its herds of elephants.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE CAPE TOWN

You are met by To Africa Tours & Safaris representative and transfer to The Table Bay one of the leading hotels of the world. The Table Bay combines the elegance of stunning neo-Victorian architecture with traditional hospitality. The rooms and suites at this superb hotel command magnificent views over the bay to the historically significant Robben Island, and inwards to the city and table mountain. Guests dine at the award-winning Atlantic Restaurant or more casually in the conservatory. The lounge offers afternoon tea with chamber music; the bar, cocktails with jazz. The hotel has a first class health spa — with professional treatments including thalassotherapy, aromatherapy and deep tissue massage — and a heated swimming pool. Fine shops, galleries, boutiques and restaurants are within walking distance. After you check-in, the rest of the day is at your leisure for you to relax or explore the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

DAY 2: CAPE TOWN - CAPE PENINISULA TOUR

After breakfast you travel along the Atlantic coastline via the scenic drives of Oudekraal to the fishing village of Hout Bay. Crossing over the mountain, travel to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where you reach the main viewing site at Cape Point by funicular. We then leave the reserve and continue along the False Bay Coastline to lunch (cost not included) and a visit to the Penguin colony at Boulders beach. Visit the world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens before returning to the City and your hotel at around 17h00. (Breakfast)

DAY 3: CAPE TOWN - TOUR OF CAPE WINELANDS

Depart for the full-day experience of the famous Cape Winelands with its historic homesteads, sprawling vineyards, and the quaint tree-lined village streets. During the course of the day there will be ample opportunity to taste some of the magnificent wines produced in this region and a suitable stop will also be made for you to enjoy a relaxing lunch (own cost). Late afternoon return to Cape Town and your hotel. (Breakfast)

DAY 4 : CAPE TOWN - TOUCR OF CAPE TOWN AND TABLE MOUNTAIN

Morning tour of the “Mother City”. You begin your excursion with the ascent of Table Mountain by cable car (the ticket for the cable car ticket is not included as the ascent is subject to the weather being suitable). After this visit the City center, see the Company Gardens the Castle of Good Hope and the Malay quarter. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the magnificent City of Cape Town – there are still many optional tours that are available – historic Robben Island, Southern Cape Coast. (Breakfast)

DAY 5: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

This morning fly to Mpumalanga International airport via Johannesburg. On arrival you will be met and transfer to Jock Safari Lodge, one of the very first privately owned camps situated in the world famous Kruger National Park, with exclusive traversing rights in what is regarded as the best Big Five game viewing area in the Kruger National Park. Each air-conditioned luxury suite is set along the river, offering all the luxuries yet evoking the style and romance of the past as well as the indigenous Swazi and Shangaan cultures. Each suite has a private “Sala” (outdoor lounge) that overlooks the river. The romantic bathrooms and outdoor showers share the same river view and sightings of animals, including the Big Five - elephants, lions, leopard, rhino and buffalo - can be seen from the comfort & privacy of your own room. Each suite has a King size bed surrounded by walk-in mosquito netting, a small lounge and twin basin bathroom. Each suite has private terrace, its own plunge pool and a wooden walkway to a lapa overlooking the riverbed.

Game drives are conducted in open land rovers, and are led by professional team of game rangers, who will offer you the thrill of close encounters with Africa’s BIG FIVE. Walking safaris, birding safaris and guided historical tours will take you along the paths of legend and mystery. Interpret the signs, sounds and scents of wild animals in this unspoiled wilderness. And when you tire of the thrill of the African bush you can rejuvenate & refresh at the Pilgrims Rest Spa named after the quaint historical mining town featured so prominently in “Jock of the Bushveld” and still in existence today, was a place to rest, rejuvenate and restock. So too is the Spa. Overlooking the haven of a serenity garden, it is fully equipped with therapy and relaxation rooms, hydrotherapy bath, steam room and sauna. Therapies are also available in the relaxed atmosphere of one’s own room. At “Pilgrim’s Rest” the need for both physical and psychological well-being is understood. Each treatment has been developed to revive, rejuvenate and restore the skin together with rebalancing mind, body and spirit. Highly qualified therapists will design a treatment program for you to ensure deep relaxation and induce inner and outer harmony. (Breakfast, Dinner).

DAYS: 6 & 7: KRUGER NATIONAL PARK- A DAY AT JOCK SAFARI LODGE

Your typical day begins with a wake up call between 5:00 am and 6:00am; tea and coffee is served in the lounge before heading out for you’re a game drive in open land rovers, accompanied by a professional team of game rangers. Return to camp by 9:00am and enjoy a hearty breakfast.

You may opt to join guided walking safaris after breakfast where the game rangers offer fauna and flora lectures and magnificent rock art viewing. Each topic is discussed and you are welcome to set the pace as they wish. There is of course always the good possibility of game viewing on these outings.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation time is enjoyed until the big game drive in the late afternoon. Beverages and snacks are served at a scenic place en route to watch the African sunset. Return to the lodge at sunset and dinner is served at the lodge or in your own room if you wish. (Breakfast, Lunch, dinner)

DAY 8: JOHANNESBURG

Morning game drive and breakfast before transferring to the airport for the flight to Johannesburg. On arrival transfer to the hotel, the rest of the evening at your leisure (Breakfast)

DAY 9: VICTORIA FALL, ZAMBIA (LIVINGSTONE)
Fly to Livingstone, Zambia. On arrival you will be met and transfer to the hotel situated within walking distance of the Falls.

At 3:30pm transfer from the Activity Center to the jetty for the sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River. The cruise is along the river boundary of the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park, around Siloka Island and back to The Waterfront jetty. The total cruise time is approximately 2.5 hours. From the boat, sightings of elephant, giraffe and even rhino coming down to the river to drink are common. There are also abundant, hippos, crocodiles and birdlife. Aboard the boat there is complimentary bar and serve freshly baked snacks. An experienced guide accompanies cruise and has good knowledge on the wildlife and local history of the area. (Breakfast)

DAY 10: VICTORIA FALLS, ZAMBIA (LIVINGSTONE)

After breakfast depart on a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of seven natural wonders of the world. This walking tour takes you through the magnificent rain forest where you are able to view the fall. Remainder of the day at leisure – return to the fall on your own (guests of the hotel have unlimited access), take an optional tour into Livingstone town or to a local village or relax at the hotel. There are a number of optional excursions available to fill your day: try a helicopter flight over the falls (flight of the angels), white-water river rafting, game viewing on land or by boat, or a cultural visit to Chief Mukuni's village etc—numerous activities available at the activity center. You can even cross the bridge to visit Victoria Falls town and view the falls from the Zimbabwe side of the river (visa is required to enter Zimbabwe). (Breakfast)

DAY 11; CHOBE NATINAL PARK, BOTSWANA

Transfer by road and ferry across the border into Botswana to the lodge situated on the border of the Chobe National Park. Afternoon game cruise along the river into the Chobe National Park - hippo, crocodile and an abundance of birdlife decorate the river system and game viewing by boat is a 'Game Drive' with a difference. Dinner at the lodge. (Breakfast, Dinner)
ACCOMMODATION: CHOBE GAME LODGE

DAY 12: CHOBE NATIONAL PARK, BOTSWANA

A full day of wildlife activities (by open 4X4 vehicles or by boat) with chances to view big game - elephant, lion, buffalo, hippo and leopard. This game park is famous its large herds of elephant and indigenous animals to the park such as Puku and Chobe bushbuck and abundant bird life. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

DAY 13: DEPART CHOBE AND FLY HOME

Optional morning game drive before your transfer to Livingstone Airport for the flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, connect with the flight home or proceed with your chosen safari extension.(Breakfast)
