The Champlain Valley is rich in Revolutionary history, and this trip allows you to step back a few hundred years and explore the places that played pivotal roles in our nation’s journey to independence. We start with a hike to Snake Mountain for a panoramic view of Lake Champlain and the surrounding valley.
On successive days we’ll visit Fort Ticonderoga, Mount Independence, the Hubbardton Battlefield, Chimney Point, Crown Point and the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum. Each day will offer hiking and history, led by our guide who is knowledgeable about both. Stay at Shoreham Inn, Marble West Inn, and Strong House Inn.
