M18702 was founded in 2005 as a result of the passion of its directors Néill and Ceillhe Sperath for the outstanding natural beauty, Maori culture and friendly people that New Zealand has to offer. The team at M18702 are passionate about Aotearoa/New Zealand/and wish to share its most captivating aspects with all of our clients.
We are a unique “Kiwi” and international combination proficient in several languages. Ceillhe is a New Zealander of Maori descent, who has excellent contacts with groups involved in this fascinating culture that is so much part of New Zealand.
Our unrivalled enthusiasm for what we do, access to unique places and cultural experiences, plus our knowledge of both international and Maori culture is what sets us apart from other tourism operators.
We believe in providing exceptional and personalised customer service to all of our discerning and valued clients. Our success is based mainly on referrals from travelers who have been thrilled with the incredibly unique experiences we have offered them. We ensure that all our tours are very personal, lots of fun and of the highest quality. Each client is looked after individually so that we achieve what we call “customer delight” as well as “customer satisfaction”.
Our company is managed by its two Directors Néill and Ceillhe Sperath: Néill Sperath is German/Irish and has become a passionate New Zealander since relocating from Germany several years ago, after falling in love with New Zealand and Ceillhe. Previous to that he lived mainly in Ireland (12 years) and Germany (22 years) and is well travelled, having visited over 30 countries. Before coming to New Zealand Néill managed several large shopping centres in Europe. He is now responsible for all marketing, tours and general business for M18702.
Ceillhe Sperath is a New Zealander of Maori descent from the Ngapuhi tribe in Northland with the added bonus of an Irish influence on her paternal side. Ceillhe is experienced in the fields of management consulting, especially in Quality and Risk Management, which benefits our company greatly. In addition to her full-time role managing our company, she currently chairs the Maori Heart Foundation (Te Hotu Manawa Maori) Board of Directors and is additionally a member of several other national boards. Ceillhe is passionate about Maori culture and wishes to share her real Maori culture with our guests in an authentic way.
We provide exceptional and unique products, as well as a high degree of professionalism and outstanding knowledge about and passion for Aotearoa/New Zealand. We are also proud to be a full member of the Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand, a membership-based and funded organisation representing the interests of over 3,500 businesses in the New Zealand tourism industry.
We were a proud finalist in the Tourism Category at the prestigious Westpac North Shore Business Excellence Awards 2007. In addition, we received a Special Commendation Award in the category of Best Start-Up Businesses 2007 and have just been finalist in the category Environmental Excellence in the same Awards 2008. |
