Situated in the Kuendu Beach Resort in the beautiful Kuendu Bay, LAGOON SAFARIS is just a 10 minute scenic drive from the centre of Nouméa. This resort consists of 26 Melanesian style bungalows (6 over-water bungalows and 20 fully self-contained 2 bedroom bungalows set in the gardens or on the beach front). The dive centre, right on the beach next to the waterslide, is staffed by Australian, Japanese and French instructors. There is a product for everyone from non-divers to the dedicated diver. You can choose half day (2 tanks) dive trips, discover scuba, training dives or excursions to the islands in the lagoon and the passes of the barrier reef......unforgettable souvenirs guaranteed! After diving, our guests can enjoy lunch on the verandah of the Lily snack overlooking the beach and on Sundays there is the added attraction of a traditional Melanesian or Tahitian floorshow.

The Staff:
* Annabella De Candia
Born and raised in Australia, now lives permanently in New Caledonia. She is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer also licensed to teach diving by the French Department of Youth and Sports and a licensed charter boat captain. Annabella spent many years cruising and diving in the South Pacific and South East Asian regions before returning to New Caledonia.
* Tawake Rakarawa
Our PADI Divemaster and licensed skipper, is from Fiji. Growing up in the islands of Fiji and the Melanesian culture, taught Tawake to understand and respect the ocean and it's inhabitants. He is also well known for his barbecues on the beach which have been enjoyed by many of our guests. |
