Our company is Atlantic Canada's most experienced sea kayaking operation (since 1982) and we offer more sea kayaking tours to more destinations in our region than anyone else. During our 1-8 day trips, an emphasis is placed on the unique biology, geology and human history of the fascinating environment where the land meets the sea. Kayaking at a relaxing pace along the shores and among the islands, we camp in remote coves and cook gourmet meals over open campfires. It is an ideal way to escape from the routines and pressures of everyday life. No prior experience is required for most trips.
Inn based tours are available as well and, if you prefer to rent and travel on their own, we have a large fleet of quality single and double sea kayaks. Prior to your trip you can stay at the Paddler's Retreat Bed & Breakfast - our rustic, century old fisherman's home overlooking the islands of Shoal Bay.
We are also a Canadian leader in sea kayaking instruction and we offer a variety of courses through our paddling school. There is something from beginner to advanced, leading to certification with Paddle Canada (formerly the Canadian Recreational Canoing Association), the British Canoe Union, and the Association of Eastern Canadian Sea Kayaking Outfitters. In addition to our qualified staff, we also bring in outside experts to add to the quality of the program. This allows us to keep abreast of the latest ideas and techniques in sea kayaking.
