Course structure:
Tutors cover all the Matsec syllabus and prepare students for language, literature and oral papers. Each lesson is mainly divided into two: one hour is devoted to grammar and the remaining hour to literature. Students are given grammar notes weekly to cover the Matsec syllabus and are given related written tasks or exercises. They are also provided with lists of Maltese proverbs and idiomatic expressions. Students are also given weekly written tasks to be done as homework. These include general essays, comprehension tests, grammar exercises, writing of letters, reports and e-mail. In the literature section students are prepared to answer questions related to the given text book " Qawsalla". Tutors cover all poems and prose texts in the syllabus related to the five given themes. Students are provided with notes analyzing each poem and text, general notes about given themes, notes regarding figures of speech, the lives and works of poets and writers and so on. Students are given written tasks for homework related to the literature syllabus, mainly literature essays, criticism, reference to the context. Emphasis is made on reading and conversing in Maltese. Students are also given notes to assist them in preparing themselves for the oral paper, mainly notes regarding Maltese history, folklore, the Maltese language and culture. Students are prepared in small groups to ensure that they are given individual attention. Students are later on in the course guided as to which syllabus they may apply for (i.e. syllabus A or B) according to the marks obtained in their weekly homework and tests given. At the end of the course, a mock test modeled on the exam paper is held.
Course duration and time table:
Course generally last from eight to nine months. Students attend for two-hour sessions once a week. Timetable of lessons are from Monday to Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 pm or from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Saturday from 8:00 to 10:00 or from 10:00 to 12:00 noon.

Other Activities:
Daily excursions to nightclubs and discos are organized by the school. Students are taken to the popular night spot, Paceville, where several discotheques, nightclubs, pubs, cinemas and shopping complexes are found. Furthermore optional dance classes in salsa, Latin American dancing and the like are organized by the school in the early evenings and afternoons.
Among the excursions organized by the school, among the most enjoyable are the trips to Comino and Gozo. Day trips to the picturesque island of Gozo are held on Sundays. Students are taken to Gozo by a ferryboat and then are taken around this small island by coach to enjoy the breathtaking views and the popular sandy beaches. This day trip would also include lunch and the service of a tour leader. Day trips to Comino are also organized, where students are taken by boat to swim at the crystal clear waters of the Blue Lagoon. Other enjoyable excursions include boat parties to Comino at night when students can dance and swim the night away.
In the afternoons, students are taken to the several sandy beaches where they can swim, sunbathe and indulge in a host of enjoyable activities such as water sports.
Facility Information:
The school is hosted by C.A.K. The premises are highly finished, fully equipped and is totally accessible for disabled persons. Also available are a Chapel, a library, a computer lab, Internet access, the school campus and a theater. Furthermore the premises are fully air-conditioned.
