The aim of the course is to improve the four main communication skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. It also introduces students to elements of Mexican culture while focusing on communication using lively and varied techniques.
Through our immersion program, you will be surrounded by the language 24 hours a day, giving you the chance to communicate with Hispanic people in a natural way. Our teachers are native speakers who specialize in teaching youngsters, facilitating you with a rewarding experience to learn Spanish in a fun and easy way.
AP Course: The Advanced Placement Preparation for Spanish Language Exam is a course aimed to assist students in the successful completion of the AP. This course combines the benefits of our intensive language classes, in groups of no more than 5 students, plus 2 daily hours of Advanced Placement Spanish preparation in groups with a maximum of 3 participants. A full immersion will be achieved through a family home stay, one on one tutoring to improve weak areas and social and cultural activities designed to increase the four language skills.
Faculty Information:
The Faculty is comprised of native Spanish Teachers, trained in the most advanced communicative methods of teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Every teacher boasts an impressive curriculum vitae with many years of teaching experience.
Our Director, Mr. Victor Alcazar, is one of the first Language Educators in Cuernavaca and is one of the founding members of the Second Language Teaching Association in the city. He is very recognized for having set very high standards for Language institutions in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
Other Activities:
In addition to morning classes, we will organize afternoon and evening sports and leisure activities tailored to the interests of teenagers. During some of the activities, students will be given the chance to mingle with Mexican youngsters of the same age residing in town. Some of these activities includes: bowling, soccer, tennis, movies and visits to local attractions. On weekends, full-day and overnight excursions will be organized to Water parks or historical places such as Las Estacas, El Rollo, Teotihuacan, Taxco, Mexico City, Acapulco, Grutas, etc.
Facility Information:
In order to be involved in a total immersion program, we strongly suggest young students stay with a Mexican host family. Our Housing office will accommodate them with a family, with children around the same age. Families will provide teens with three meals daily, freshly and carefully prepared using purified water and disinfectant for fruits and vegetables. Students can stay in a shared or single room basis. Sheets will be changed once a week and towels twice a week. Families will provide transportation to and from our school, in situations where families are not located in walking distance from school.
Notes:
The minimum cost of 160 US per week, is offered to students who are enrolling for the semester program. For students enrolling for 5 to 11 weeks the fee is 180 US, whereas students staying for 4 weeks or less would be charged the standard rate of 200 US per week.
