It will not be all work and no play. While taking part in these courses you can indulge in your favorite sporting activities, such as: water skiing, swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. There are a number of lidos providing your preferred water sports, as well as excellent licensed diving schools, where one can appreciate the natural beauty of the Maltese Islands from an underwater prospective.
For those preferring more grounded activities, there is a golf course with all the amenities and one can play a few rounds of golf while mingling with the other sportsmen and women. For health and fitness fanatics, there are a number of modern, fully equipped gymnasiums and health spas. Whether you want a relaxing body massage or an energetic body-building workout, you will find all that your needs are catered to.
For others whose interest is mainly in the historical and cultural domain, Malta is ideally suited as there are a number of cultural activities spread out throughout the year, with performances at the Manoel Theater in Valletta (Europe's oldest theater that is still in use) as well as visits to the Neolithic Temple sites in Malta and Gozo. The heritage of the Knights Hospitallers, the Knights of Malta, can be seen and appreciated all around the Maltese Islands with visits to the Presidential Palace, Forts, and the Armory. You can also visit the Silent City of Medina which predates the Knights by hundreds of years, being Malta's old capital city.
The nightlife in Malta is very exciting and centers around the towns of Paceville and Bugibba, which are wholly dedicated to those night owls with night-clubs, discotheques and bars, as well as a cinema complex and a bowling alley. Facility Information:
Host Family Services: Students staying with host families will be introduced to the English-speaking host family on arrival. Once students have settled down, they will start getting acquainted with Maltese family life. They will have ample opportunities to speak and to practice English, since host families are specially selected for this purpose. The host family will attend to the students' needs and help them in every possible way.
