Hello everyone, I am Chris, a native student here majoring in interpretation. Beijing is one of the most attractive cities in the world. It has millions of foreign visitors coming each year for its natural beauty and modern charms. Besides the usual tourists’ attraction like the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall, the Bird’s Nest and the Water Cubic have become the new destination for foreigners coming into the city.
Inside school, I have been running a campus society called “Beijing Exploration” which provides free guiding services to all our foreign teachers and some of the coming visitors to our university. Over the years, we have been quite actively involved in many of the big events of the city; some have been reported by the local BTV (Beijing TV). All of the members of our organization were carefully selected from our school - Beijing Foreign Studies University - the best of its kind in China. We all have a thorough understanding of the city as we are all natives here. We all have been specially trained and are certificated by local travel authority.
Last year, some of us were selected as interpreters for the 11th China Wuqiao International Circus Festival. By chance I met and interpreted for the Cultural Minister from Egypt, which I still feel quite proud of. Our Beijing Tours are Personalized and Customized for you and your interests. You choose what you want to see and I'll customize an itinerary just for you.
Our tours can include all of the things written below depending on your time frame and budget and what you want to see from the Tienanmen Square, Forbidden City, Behai Park, Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven, Dirt Market, Great Wall and much more. Our services include a real Beijinger’s inside view and of all the sites. As a tour guide of more than 3 years experience in the entertainment and travel industries, I love being a Tour Guide and and helping guests navigate this marvelous city that is not as daunting as you may think. I know the ins and outs of every inch of Beijing and am happy to share my knowledge and experiences with you and yours.
I recommend the following itinerary for you:
Day 1: Arrive at Beijing Capital Airport where you will be picked up and transferred to your booked hotel. If time permits, I can offer a free orientation trip at the central area. My service for your first day upon your arrival is totally FREE only if you come in the afternoon. (I give hotel recommendations and can also help book a hotel for you before your arrival).
Day 2: Meet you at your hotel lobby and start the tour to Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Behai Park,(Jingshan Park if time permits). I can show you around the Hutong area, too. Then send you back to the hotel.
Day 3: Meet at hotel lobby see the Bird’s Nest - the main stadium for the 29th Beijing Summer Olympics, Water Cubic - swimming pool for the Games, then we go through the University Area( Peking University and Tsinghua University, both have international reputation). Then in the afternoon we go to Summer Palace. Back to hotel.
Day 4: The Temple of Heaven, Hongqiao Market and Panjiayuan Market(Dirt Market), Lama Temple. Confucius Temple and Imperial College if time permits.
Day 5: Great Wall, and some selected museums, the Great Hall of the People.
You do not have to follow our schedules, we follow yours.I can also arrange vehicles if you need, I can also show you to some shows in the theater.
About Price:
1, we charge 150$ person/day.
2, price includes: all the entrance fees, most transportations, some drinks inside the tourists’ sites, some of the meals, etc…
3, price can be negotiated.
About Shopping:
I give wonderful shopping places to go and I can assure that whatever you buy will be unbelievably cheap. I can bargain a very good price for whatever you buy. You might be willing to pay when you think it cheap enough---NO, still extorted. One more thing, I guarantee that I have no personal connection with any of those shop owners. You show me to the shop you favor and I will be a good bargainer for you.

About Eating:
The local specialty here is the Beijing Roast Duck which favored by lots of tourists. Beijing is also famous for its snacks; I will show you the Snack Street where all foreigners in Beijing go. Anyway, as my tour is highly personal and tourist-oriented, it is always up to you to decide the whole thing. I don’t force you into tasting anything. I will pay some of the meal in the day while we are traveling. You might want to have your dinner alone in the hotel.
About Transportation:
As I said, I pay most of the transportations---subways, buses or taxies. I will not pay if you take the taxi to go to the Great Wall.
About Museum and Shows:
I can take you to whatever museums you like and if you are interested in shows, I can also take you to some theatres which are popular among tourist---You can enjoy the Beijing Opera or Acrobatic Shows….
