Your initial contact and coordinator is our colleague in Greenville, South Carolina USA. He will help you plan, make reservations, and remove the tedious details of a visit to Russia. Once you arrive you will be met by our colleague who will be your personal guide, teacher, and advocate in Russia. She will assist you with all aspects of your stay and make the wonders of Russia easy to visit and understand.
For the single lady tourist there is the added safety and companionship of having an experienced guide. For those who have specific interests we can plan a specialized itinerary that will address your interests in more detail than would have been possible on your own and in a more personal way than a group tour.
We start with the planning phase which may include preparing for and obtaining a visa. We can make suggestions and reservations for hotels for any budget. We help you plan your itinerary and make arrangements for theatre tickets. If you want to do overnight excursions or travel to another city we can arrange that too.
Have children? No problem. We frequently offer programs that include a special guide for all or part of a day who is dedicated to taking your children to the sights that are of interest to them.
These include a day that unfolds the tragic story of Anastasia, the daughter of Czar Nicholas II. All children have seen the Disney movie. Now they can walk in Anastasia's footsteps, see the murder site of the evil Rasputin and see the personal effects and even, sadly, the final resting place of beautiful Crown Princess Anastasia and her family.
The need for private cars and drivers is often misunderstood. There are some sights that are especially suited for private car and driver but almost all sights can be reached by public transportation. We let you decide. If you want a private car, we provide it. If not, you can save the money because your guide will make negotiating public transportation a breeze! In Moscow and St. Petersburg it is often counter-productive to have a car due to the traffic congestion. Metro and bus are actually faster to many sites.
We offer some activities that no other guide service can. Our most popular is called the "Russian Evening". You are the invited guest to dine in the home of a normal Russian family. They will welcome you, serve you a delicious meal, educate you on some of the Russian customs and generally make you feel as if you have known them forever. We all know how it is to dine in a restaurant but how often can we actually experience the culture of a country that we visit from this perspective? Our clients universally enjoy this experience.
Theatre is plentiful and superior in Russia. Performances vary greatly in price. Choosing the right performance at the right price and in the desired theatre can be confusing. If you wait until arrival, your favorite choice may be unavailable. We can help you choose the performance and pre-purchase the tickets.
Hotels are one of the most common sources of poor value. We are associated with small, boutique-style hotels that are "off the radar screen" and right in the city center. For the same cost, we can help you get much more value than you can probably obtain on your own.
Visiting Russia is exciting but it can be a bit frustrating to plan and the language is challenging. For the money that you spend on our service you will save time and money over the same activities that you would have planned and executed without assistance. The net cost to you is small considering these savings.
You never pay anything until you are satisfied.
