Belize Big Game Fishing involves ½ hour boat travel to the English Caye Channel Area where we start trawling the lines (behind the boat). We use ballyhoo baits & lures that are made for catching big fish such as: marlin, wahoo, dorado, kingfish, sailfish etc. Usually we do also hook up medium size fishes such as barracudas, groupers, cobia, and tunas. We trawl the lines up to the St Georges Caye area and then back. We then pull up lines and head back for the city. Full day tours gives us enough time to travel to the South Turneffe tip (the elbow) where marlin have been caught more than anywhere else. The cost includes boat, captain, crew, equipment, fuel, sodas, bottled water, snacks & beer.
This type of fishing has no guarantees as does any type of fishing. We do our best to ‘raise fish’ and get hooked. We also take lighter tackle rods in case we run into a school of feeding fish or if our guests wish to do some drop fishing during the day at one of the many drop fishing spots we travel near.
