3-12 day roving summer wilderness pack trips into Montana's Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. Enjoy horseback riding, fishing, relaxing, photography, exploration, and wildlife viewing. Enjoy views from the top of mountain peaks, cross the Continental Divide and you travel trails similar to those of Lewis and Clark. Dine on wonderful home cooked meals on the trail. On any of our trips into the wilderness, you'll be able to enjoy superb fishing in the high country streams, rivers and lakes. The Bob Marshall, Scapegoat and Great Bear Wilderness Areas are, quite simply, a fishing paradise.
We have some of the finest westslope Cutthroat Trout (our native fish) fishing in the lower 48. In addition, depending on location, you may find Rainbow, Brook Trout, Eastern Brook Trout, Bull Trout, Dolly Varden and Grayling. Catch-and-release fishing is recommended. This is ideal fly fishing country, though some fishermen bring spinning or combination spin/fly rods.
Any type of rod you choose to bring should preferably break down into 3' or less sections and be encased in a hard case of either plastic or aluminum for easy packing without breakage. Fishing licenses are sold in two-day groups, or by the season. Our non-resident fishing license is available at area sporting good stores, fishing shops and the Blackfoot Angler in Ovando.
